Ryan Sullivan (U of R) went three for four with 4 RBI, 3 RS, and 2 dingers as the Pinstripes trounced Niagara 8-2. For his efforts Sullivan garnered NYCBL Player-of-the-Day honors.
Matt Zahel (Toledo) made three appearances on the hill. He tossed seven and two-thirds of shutout ball including 2 and a third as Webster knocked off division-leading Brockport 1-0.
Cory Brownsten (Pittsburgh) had a pair three – hit games.
Steve Muoio (Georgia College) is fifth in the league and leads the team with a .357 BA.
Mark Wiggins (UMass-Lowell Riverhawks) banged out a pair of doubles for the week.
Webster alums: Pat Urckfitz (Greenville Astros) has 7IP in 7 appearances and still hasn’t given up an earned run in the Appalachian League. Pat has 8 Ks and 5 BBs.
Bryan Gardner (Gulf Coast Reds) has seen his ERA swell to 5.23. In 8 appearances Bryan has pitched 10 and a third with 11Ks and 7 BBs.
