PHILADELPHIA –Rohan Brown (Manchester, Conn. / East Catholic) has enrolled at La Salle University and becomes the fourth member of the Explorers’ men’s basketball recruiting class, head coach Dr. John Giannini announced today.
“We were able to see Rohan play numerous times during the July evaluation period,” Giannini said. “He brings toughness, consistent effort, rebounding, defense and finishing ability. He has a big upside as he further develops his perimeter skills.”
Brown (6-6, 205), a graduate of East Catholic High School, was an all-state selection after averaging 20 points and 12 rebounds per game. He was also named to the Hartford Courant Fab 15 team.
“We were looking for an A-10 athlete with a high motor, good potential and strong character who would be a good teammate,” Giannini said. “That describes Rohan and we are happy to welcome him to La Salle.”
He was the MVP of the annual Connecticut High School Coaches Association All-Star game and earned All-Central Connecticut North honors.
Brown averaged 16 ppg. and 12 rpg. as a junior to earn honorable mention all-state recognition. He joins D.J. Peterson, Jerrell Wright and Steve Zack in La Salle’s freshman class.
