The 2026 Section V Class C1 Boys’ Basketball bracket features four teams from Genesee County Division I, four teams from Finger Lakes West, three teams from Wayne County, three teams from Livingston County Division II, one team from the Rochester City Athletic Conference, one team from Allegany County Division I and one Private-Parochial school.
Lyons (No. 5 NYSSWA Class C) enters sectionals as the top seed in Class C1. The Lions finished the regular season with a record of 18-2 and are the winners of 13 of their past 14 games. Geneseo (No. 10 NYSSWA Class C) and Pembroke are also each 18-2 and enter as the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds respectively. The Blue Devils are trying to avenge a loss in last year’s C1 sectional title game.
World of Inquiry is the No. 5 seed, has a record of 12-8, and is looking to win its second straight sectional title after taking home the B1 crown a year ago. Alexander is attempting to do the same, as the seventh-seeded Trojans are 13-7 and won Class C1 in 2025. Second round action tips off on Tuesday. Here’s the breakdown:
