Down 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Ryan Ritchlin bases-clearing triple gave Penfield a lead it did not surrender. Ritchlin finished 2-for-4 on the day and also scored a run in the fifth thanks to a single from Landen Belliard. Belliard also notched the save with one hit and one strikeout over one scoreless inning of relief. Mark Luciano scored twice and went 3-3 on the day with an RBI-double in the sixth and singles in the first and fifth innings. Matt Scibienski finished with two hits while Nathan Scozzaro followed with a hit and two runs. Leo Schwind crossed home plate once as well. Cody Murray earned the win after tossing .2 innings with one strikeout and two hits.

Matthew Lanning struck out 10 without issuing a walk over five innings of two-hit ball, and Victor opened the season at the Cal Ripken Complex in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with a win. Lanning retired six of the of the first seven batters he faced before allowing a pair of singles in the third inning. The senior starter set down the last eight who came to the plate. John LaPenna finished 2-for-4 at the plate and helped stake the Blue Devils to a 4-0 lead in the second when the sophomore brought home a pair of runners with a two-out single. LaPenna had four RBI on the day. Zach Worrall went 3-3 with two triples, three RBI and a run scored. Lanning was 2-3 with a walk and three runs scored. Luke Staser had two hits and scored twice. Vincent Constantino singled and scored twice. Peyton Ridley had an RBI and a two runs scored in the win.

Max Kress went 4-for-5 with four RBI and two runs including a triple that scored two runs and a single that drove in another to lead Pittsford Sutherland. Hudson Lazenby finished 3-3 with three RBI and a run scored while Jaxon Bernas followed going 2-3 with three runs and two RBI thanks to a double to start an eight-run second inning for the Knights only lead of the day. Aidan Kress singled, driving in one run and scored a run of his ow while Noah Gressell also notched a hit, a run and an RBI. Maddox Johnson added a hit and a score while Sam Byrne and Camden Muldoon both crossed home plate once.

James Gropp went 2-for-2 to while Andrew Lamberton connected on a three-run homer to lead Spencerport. Jaeden Ford added a hit and a run while Gavin Zimmer and Liam Watson tallied hits as well. Sam Hopkins scored a run and drove in a run while Dwyer Boyzuck crossed home plate once.

Bobby Rule Jr. hurled five innings of three-it ball, allowing just one run with five strike outs to lead Churchville-Chili. Rule crossed home plate twice and hit an RBI-single in second to ignite a five-run inning for a lead the Saints kept the rest of the way. Jordan Wilson doubled in the inning, driving in three runs and scored twice as well. Braden Smith notched went 2-for-3 with two runs while Josh Miner also finished 2-3 with a run and an RBI. Jayden Jager’s three-run double extended the Saints lead to eight in the third inning while Nicholas Vaccaro Jr posted a hit and an RBI. Carson Shepanski scored three times while Quintyn Whipple crossed made it home one time as well.

Noah Dietz went 2-for-5 including with two runs scored and an RBI-double that ignited a nine-run third inning that turned a 2-0 deficit into a 9-2 lead that Brighton did not relinquish. Max Sheehan finished with two hits, two runs and an RBI as well while Hudson Coles finished 2-3 with an RBI and run scored. Owen Hoefen singled in the fourth to drive in two runs while scoring two of his own while Ethan Bialaszewski added a hit and two runs. Nate Bondi followed with a hit and a run scored while Jack Morgan scored a run and drove in three runs during the nine-run third. Jack Edelstein scored twice while Patrick Newcomer and Grant Powers each crossed home once. Drew Sienkowski earned the win after allowing two runs on four hits with one strikeout through three innings.

Jack Clark led the way going 2-for-3 with two singles for three RBI in an 11-run first inning that gave Canandaigua a lead it kept the rest of the way. Austin Kierst scored three runs and went 2-2 including an RBI-single while Cole Harris also finished 2-3 with three RBI in the first inning while Isaac Dolph notched an RBI-single and two runs. Harris also tossed four innings of one-hit ball with four strikeouts and one run to earn the win. Cormick Schaeffer finished with a hit, a run and an RBI while Richie Baskin drove in two runs and scored another. Sam Clark crossed home plate three times while Griffin Kierst and Tyler Christopher added a run apiece. For Aquinas, Ryan Lewin hit a two-run homerun to lead the way while Sean Masiuk followed with two hits and a run scored. Ryan Gleichauf ended 2-2 with an RBI while Eddie Mancini tallied a hit and a run.

MCQUAID JESUIT (1-0) 11
Tied 10-10 in the bottom of the ninth with bases loaded, Thomas Bailey hit a sacrifice fly to drive in Robbie Langdon for the game-winning run and lift McQuaid Jesuit. Bailey finished the day 2-for-5 with a run scored. Dom Anzalone went 3-3 with two runs and two RBI thanks to a single in the fourth to tie the game at one apiece and a triple in the seventh to tie it 8-8 and send it to extras. Jason Larsen notched two hits and a run including an RBI-single while Ryan Dejoy also posted two hits and an RBI. Daniel Luce crossed home plate once and hit an RBI-single while Langdon singled in the seventh to ignite three-run inning and scored two runs. Colin Forkey and Dom Corona ended with a hit and two runs apiece while TD Jordan tallied one hit. Brayden Craig tossed two innings of two-hit ball with two strikeouts and a run to notch the win on the mound.
