
Noah Meabon (Fairport) scored a game-high 21 points for the Red Raiders as they won their first sectional title since 2017. Meabon headlined the Section V Tournament MVP honorees. Jackson Green (Penfield), Josh Shadders (Pittsford Mendon), Brien Walker (Monroe), Aidan Weaver (Le Roy), Maddox Volpe (Bishop Kearney), Stephen LeBrecht (Lyons), Landon Washburn (Honeoye) and Brody Vance (Andover-Whitesville) all garnered MVP honors for their respective classifications, as announced by Section V.
Meabon cashed in 12 points, including two dunks in the second quarter to give Fairport an 18-point lead going into halftime en route to the AAA title.


Green scored a game-high 20 points for No. 1 NYSSWA Class AA Penfield to lead the Patriots to their second straight Class AA1 title. The junior found success at the rim in the second half, scoring 12 in the final 16 minutes of play.

Shadders scored 15 points to lead No. 6 NYSSWA Class AA Pittsford Mendon to its fourth sectional title since 2019, 64-63. The senior was a large part of the Vikings run in the second quarter that have Mendon its largest lead at 38-22 midway through the frame.


Walker scored the final four points of the Class A championship, including the winning basket with 25 seconds remaining to lift the Red Jackets to a 49-47 win over Wayne. The junior led the Red Jackets with 18 points as they claimed their first sectional title since 1982.


Weaver scored 17 of his 24 points in the second half as Le Roy claimed the Class B1 title 58-50. The senior was crucial in the Oatkan Knights overcoming a nine-point deficit to claim their first sectional title since 2003 and second in program history.


Volpe scored 10 of his 22 points in the first quarter as Bishop Kearney built a 16-point first quarter lead en route to winning the Class B2 title 82-58. The Kings claimed their first sectional title since 2013, when they won the NYS Class AA title.


LeBrecht poured in 20 of his game-high 30 in the first half as Lyons opened a double-digit advantage and went on to defeat Geneseo 87-59 in the Class C1 championship. The Lions won their eighth sectional title since 2013.


Washburn scored a game-high 29, going 9-for-10 from the free throw line in the second half as Honeoye won the C2 title 58-53, claiming its second title in as many years. Washburn was also named MVP for the second straight year.


Vance netted nine of his game-high 20 points in the fourth quarter as the Andover-Whitesville Panthers erased an eight-point second half deficit to win the Class D title 54-47. The championship is the Panthers first as a merged program.
