
Each squad enters looking to win its third straight sectional title. Top-seeded Fairport won the Class AAA crown in 2024 and 2025 and is looking to defend its title. Aquinas, the No. 3 seed, won in Class AA in 2025 and Class A the season prior. Something has to give when Monroe County Division I will duel against the Private-Parochial League on Saturday night. How they arrived here: Fairport had a bye to the semifinals, where it defeated No. 5 seed Bishop Kearney/Chesterton 47-40 to secure a spot in the finals. Aquinas won its quarterfinal game 74-17 over No. 6 Rush-Henrietta before taking down seventh-seeded Greece Arcadia/Olympia 79-32.

Trends: The Red Raiders have won three of their past four games entering the title game, two of which coming by 35 or more points. Aquinas has won eight of its past nine games and scored over 70 points in each of its last three games.

History 101: A win for Fairport would be its third straight Class AAA championship and ninth title in program history. For Aquinas, it would be the third sectional title in three seasons, as the Li’l Irish won Class A in 2024 and Class AA in 2025. AQ is looking for its seventh overall sectional championship.
What’s at stake: A spot in the NYS Class AAA Far West Regional against the Section VI winner, either West Seneca or Lancaster.
