Tuesday Girls’ Basketball Wrap: Falletti drops double-double to send Notre Dame Batavia to finals; Angelo scores 22 to lead Honeoye Falls-Lima

CLASS A

No. 4 OUR LADY OF MERCY (13-9) 56
No. 1 EAST (16-5) 44
Laura Kosten accounted for 10 of her team-high 15 points in the second half as Our Lady of Mercy outscored East 32-22 to earn a spot in the Class A finals. Kosten hit four time from the field and finished 2-for-3 at the free throw line. Emerson Wandtke added nine of her 14 points in the after the break while grabbing seven total rebounds. Allison Barone connected on three 3-pointers to end with nine points. Ella Rogala finished with seven points while Robin Jones scored six. Jones also finished with 12 rebounds. Bridet Wise rounded out the Monarchs with four points and five rebounds. Darianna Weathers led East with 18 points in the efforts. Semaj Jackson followed with 17 points. Madison Nicole Marie Simmons (4), Journe Caliz (2) and Honesty Imani Rapley (2) rounded out the scoring for the Lady Eagles. Our Lady of Mercy will advance to the Class A finals to face No. 3 Honeoye Falls-Lima on Saturday, March 7 at Finger Lakes Community College at 6 p.m.

No. 3 HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA (15-7) 52
No. 2 NEWARK (19-3) 50
Shaye Angelo led all scorers with 22 points alongside three assists as Honeoye Falls-Lima advanced to the Class A finals. Alysa Richards drained four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points. Sarah Smith scored nine points and grabbed 16 rebounds. Carina Natalie and Marianna Chance led Newark with 15 points and 14 points respectively. Arizona Chapple followed with 11 points. Honeoye Falls-Lima will advance to the Class A finals to face No. 4 Our Lady of Mercy on Saturday, March 7 at Finger Lakes Community College at 6 p.m.

No. 4 CANISTEO-GREENWOOD (21-2) 46
No. 1 LETCHWORTH (21-2) 36
Payton Bentley dropped eight of her team-leading 14 points in the first quarter to help Canisteo-Greenwood establish an 11-8 lead it never gave up en route to clinching a spot in the Class C1 finals. The senior connected on three shots including two 3-pointers. Kara Mahany also knocked down two triples and finished with 13 points. Mackenna Mullen added seven of her 10 points in the second quarter. Gracen Mahany (5), Paris May (2) and Harlie McCaffery (2) closed out the scoring for the Chargers. Sasha Bellamy led Letchworth with a game-high 16 points. Kendall Jines followed with eight points including two treys. Annika Milillo (6), Charity Scott (4) and Gillian Kemp (2) rounded out the scoring for the Legends. Canisteo-Greenwood will advance to the Class C1 finals to battle No. 2 Bloomfield on Saturday, March 7 at Finger Lakes Community College at 12 p.m.

No. 2 BLOOMFIELD (18-4) 49
Entering the final quarter down 29-28, Calla McCombs recorded 10 of her game-high 26 points to help Bloomfield punch a ticket to the Class C1 finals. The senior finished on four shots within the arc and went 2-for-2 at the free throw line. Addison Falsone drained three shots in the first half including two 3-pointers to end with 15 points. Sadie Kachmaryk (5) and Alina Hagen (3) closed out the scoring for Bloomfield. Ja’Niyah Bell and Kamryn Bonnell both finished the game with 18 points in the efforts for Lyons. Bell added 13 rebounds for a double-double alongside nine blocks, five steals and one assist. Bonnell followed with four rebounds and three steals. Car’Mella Parker (3) and Addison Jones (2) rounded out the scoring for the Lions. Bloomfield will advance to the Class C1 finals to face No. 4 Canisteo-Greenwood on Saturday, March 7 at Finger Lakes Community College at 12 p.m.

CLASS C2 

No. 4 YORK (18-5) 61
No. 1 KESHEQUA (21-1) 64
Ryley Benner scored a team-high 21 points to lead Keshequa to the Class C2 finals. Riley Nageldinger recorded 17 points while Braelyn Isaman added 11 points. Bree Benner finished with nine points. Alecia Wood scored six points. Tessa Rodwell led York with a 30-point, 12-rebound double-double. Bree Parsons also added a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Fiona Grant (9), Tessa Goodell (7) and Leah Cuozzo (3) closed out the scoring for York. Keshequa will advance to the Class C2 finals to battle against No. 2 Oakfield-Alabama on Saturday, March 7 at Finger Lakes Community College at 2 p.m.

No. 3 FILLMORE (17-4) 31
No. 2 OAKFIELD-ALABAMA (22-0) 57
Hadley Hicks paced Oakfield-Alabama with 16 points, eight assists and three steals as the Hornets advanced to the Class C2 finals. Allison Harkness stuffed the stat sheet with 14 points, six rebounds and four steals. Allie Williams scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds. Harper Hicks ended with seven points and 12 rebounds while Alexa Clark ended with five points and 10 rebounds. Rylee Denny (3), Chloe Luttrell (2) and Emma Williams (1) rounded out the scoring for Oakfield-Alabama. Oakfield-Alabama will advance to the Class C2 finals to battle against No. 1 Keshequa on Saturday, March 7 at Finger Lakes Community College at 2 p.m.

CLASS D

No. 5 ELBA (17-6) 55
No. 1 AVOCA-PRATTSBURGH (18-4) 43 

Elba will advance to the Class D finals to face No. 3 Notre Dame Batavia on Saturday, March 7 at Finger Lakes Community College at 4 p.m.

No. 3 NOTRE DAME BATAVIA (17-5) 53
No. 2 CHARLES G FINNEY (16-6) 35
Sofia Falleti paced Notre Dame Batavia with a 24-point, 13-rebound double-double alongside two assists to help the Lady Irish clinch a ticket to the Class D finals. Shirley Thompson also reached double-digits, adding 12 points, five rebounds and four steals. Quinn Boardman added eight points and nine rebounds. Gianna Falleti ended with four points, three steals and two assists. Harper Ferris (3) and Clarissa Milliman (2) rounded out the scoring for the Lady Irish. Notre Dame Batavia will advance to the Class D finals to battle against No. 5 Elba on Saturday, March 7 at Finger Lakes Community College at 4 p.m.
