Jack Leasure Shooting and Skills Camp Sectional Final Preview: Dansville and Waterloo to battle for Class B1 title

One program is looking for its third Class B title in the past eight years. The other looks to claim its fourth trophy since 2021. Livingston County Athletic Association faces Finger Lakes East when Dansville and Waterloo face off on Wednesday to determine the Section V Class B1 champion. Here’s the breakdown:

Trends: Dansville enters winning 11 of its last 12 matchups with two postseason wins, while Waterloo has won 10 of the last 11 games including six double-digit victories.

History 101: Dansville is making its third appearance in the finals over the past four seasons. The Mustangs are looking for their third sectional title in program history having claimed the B2 championship in 2019 and B1 in 2020. Waterloo has won 10 sectional championships in program history inlcuding three straight from 2021-2023. The 2023 team went on the claim the NYS and Federation Class B titles

What’s at stake: A spot in the Class B Far West Regional Qualifier against either Cuba-Rushford/Bolivar-Richburg or Le Roy.
