NO. 1 PENFIELD (19-1) 60

Jake McCarthy scored 10 of his game-high 20 points in the first half as No. 1 NYSSWA Class AA Penfield built a seven-point halftime lead and went on to clinch a spot in the AA1 semifinals with the Patriots 13th straight win. CJ Johnson and Aaron Hardaway added 17 points each for Penfield. Other scorers included Jackson Green (3) and Ryan Savino (3). Matthew Carey led Webster Schroeder with 13 points. Alex Bartnicki (12) and Kalin Watkins (10) also got into double figures. Other scorers included Sam Nick (5), Anthony Amico (5) and Chris Unger (2). Penfield will face No. 4 Churchville-Chili in the semifinals.

NO. 5 BRIGHTON (10-11) 69
NO. 4 CHURCHVILLE-CHILI (11-10) 73

Jason Small scored 21 of his game-high 29 points in the second half as Churchville-Chili overcame an 11-point deficit, and the Saints moved on to the semis with a third straight win. Landon Healey (10) and Brayden Stedman (12) also got into double figures for the Saints. Other scorers for the Saints included Joshua Miner (6), Jake McGowan (9), Jacob Gonzalez (2) and Jack Demmin (5). Tim Tourangeau led Brighton with 23 points. Noah Barnabas (10) and Daniel Regan (17) also got into double figures for the Bruins. Other scorers included Bobby Jones (2), Abram Levy (9), Jah Joseph (3) and Brody Kamm (5). Churchville-Chili will face No. 1 Penfield in the semifinals.

NO. 3 VICTOR (14-7) 66

JJ Mastin Jr. knocked down a three-pointer at around the 6:30 mark of the first quarter that broke a 2-2 tie, and No. 3 Victor went on to never trail and win 66-55 over sixth-seeded Webster Thomas during AA1 quarterfinal action on Saturday night. It is the third win in the past four games for the Blue Devils (14-7). READ MORE

The game saw three significant swings in momentum: Isaiah Caruthers connected on three 3-pointers, the third of which came on the first possession of the second quarter to cap an 11-0 outburst and give the Bulldogs a 19-11 lead. That led directly to a 27-2 Irondequoit run capped by Major leading teammate Roman Maldonado on a leak out as the Eagles eventually took a 45-24 lead into the locker room at halftime. READ MORE.

NO. 1 PITTSFORD MENDON (20-1) 77

Trevor Nally scored 14 of his game-high 21 points in the first half as No. 6 NYSSWA Class AA Pittsford Mendon built a 26-point after two quarters, and the Vikings moved on to the AA2 semifinals with a 17th straight win. Nally knocked down two 3-pointers and went 2-for-2 from the free throw line in the opening 16 minutes. Nally also added eight rebounds, four assists and four steals to his line. Joshua Shadders (16) and Carmen Esposito (10) also got into double figures for Mendon, contributing eight and seven rebounds respectively. Other scorers for the Vikings included Amari Coleman (5), Jack Nally (3), Jackson Tackaberry (2), Max Liberatos (9), John Leitner (9) and Elijah Sussman (2). Jack Nally tacked on seven rebounds and four assists. Jesse Lynn led Wilson with 13 points. Jayden Ingram (11) and Aaron Riley (11) also got into double figures for the Wildcats. Other scorers included Jayden Everett (2), Von Fuqua (5), Damyreon Warnick (4) and Nishan Ezel (3). Mendon will face No. 4 Gates Chili in the semifinals.

NO. 3 GREECE ATHENA (16-5) 89

Russell Ellis Jr. poured in 16 of his game-high 27 points in the second quarter when No. 3 Greece Athena (16-5) turned a one-possession game into double-digit lead and went on to defeat No. 6 Vertus (9-12), 89-72 in Section Class AA2 action, Saturday afternoon. READ MORE

NO. 2 PITTSFORD SUTHERLAND (19-2) 77

Sam Byrne scored 18 of his game-high 24 points in the first half as No. 14 NYSSWA Class AA Pittsford Sutherland built a 16-point lead heading into the locker room, and the Knights advanced to the AA2 semis with a second straight win. Byrne cashed in six 2-pointers and went 3-for-3 from the free throw line in the half. Jackson Birch (15) and Ethan Wachter (12) also got into double figures for Sutherland. Other scorers included Tyler Allen (7), Zach Neiderer (9), Jahyden Maiorani (4), Hudson Lazenby (2) and Chase Dermody (4). Ty Sherman led Brockport with 15 points. Ethan Hart also got into double figures with 11. Other scorers included Tre Hildreth (1), Ayden Matthews (5), Brodee Henshaw (2), Caleb Sheehan (2), Zach Hagreen (4) and Mason Scott (5). Sutherland will face No. 3 Greece Athena in the semifinals.

CLASS B1

NO. 9 LIVONIA (7-15) 47
NO. 1 LE ROY (14-7) 58

Grady Gilligan scored nine of his team-high 24 points in the first quarter as Le Roy built a 15-point lead after eight minutes and clinched a spot in the B1 semis with the Oatkan Knights seventh win in their last nine games. Gilligan also added 11 rebounds, four steals and three blocks to his line. Matthew Hockey also got into double figures for Le Roy with 14 points, four rebounds and three assists. Aidan Weaver added eight points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks for the Oatkan Knights. Other scorers for Le Roy included Jagger Smith (2), Cole Tonzi (2), Brady McClurg (3), Brayden Chase (3) and Jameson Zitz (2). Oliver Taylor led Livonia with 16 points and three rebounds. Jack Henry (12) and Owen Austin (10) also got into double figures for Livonia with Henry dishing out three assists and Austin grabbing three rebounds. Trevor Wester added three points and six assists for Livonia. Le Roy will face No. 4 Waterloo in the semifinals.

NO. 5 EARLY COLLEGE (11-11) 41
NO. 4 WATERLOO (11-11) 70

Carter Peterson scored 11 of his 14 points in the first half as Waterloo built a 19-point lead at the break and secured a spot in the B1 semis with the Tigers third straight win. Kellen Mahoney (15), Ryder Tam (17) and Hayden Willett (12) also got into double figures for Waterloo. Other scorers for the Tigers included Nate Barron (7), Ethan Hendrix (3) and Xavier Brown (2). Tyrell Grant led Early College with a game-high 19 points. Cincere Moxley-Studymine also got into double figures with 13. Other scorers included Sam Washington (2) and Seh’maje Lester (7). Waterloo will face No. 1 Le Roy in the semifinals.

NO. 6 WELLSVILLE (10-12) 73
NO. 3 WAYLAND-COHOCTON (12-9) 45

Wellsville won its second straight. The Lions will face No. 7 Mynderse in the semifinals.

NO. 7 MYNDERSE (9-13) 67
NO. 2 HORNELL (12-9) 58

Nick Moansell led Mynderse with 19 points, knocking down five 3-pointers as the Blue Devils advanced to the semifinals with their second straight win. Braeden Cimineri (16), Elijah Doell (14) and Joe Nigro (12) also got into double figures for Mynderse. The Blue Devils led by four at halftime but pulled away in the third quarter to a 49-39 lead going into the final eight minutes of play. Demayne Dixon led Hornell with a game-high 26 points. Dixon also had seven rebounds and four assists. Tyrone Buchanan added 11 points and had five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Ben Woolever added nine points and three rebounds. Marco Picco had eight points and eight rebounds for the Red Raiders. Mynderse will face No. 6 Wellsville in the semifinals.

CLASS B2

NO. 8 RED CREEK (9-13) 51
NO. 1 BISHOP KEARNEY/CHESTERTON (18-3) 93

Jayden Capers scored 12 of his game-high 35 points in the first half as No. 21 NYSSWA Class B Bishop Kearney/Chesterton built a 29-point at the break and advanced to the B2 semis with the Kings second straight win. DJ Hamer (16), Maddox Volpe (14) and Jaiden Pascoe (16) also got into double figures for the Kings. Other scorers for the Kings included Marcus Chatman (2), Colby Speight (3), Owen Gorham (4) and Rasean Stevens (3). Duke Wright led Red Creek with 16 points. Connor Hopp also got into double figures for the Rams with 12. Other scorers included Daniel Sanzotta (3), Dom Lepper (2), Eli Essig (2), Parker Buckalew (6), Eoin Wynne (4) and Anthony Tucker (6). Bishop Kearney/Chesterton will face No. 4 East Rochester in the semifinals.

NO. 5 WILLIAMSON (11-11) 60
NO. 4 EAST ROCHESTER (17-4) 99

Judah Tanner scored 18 of his game-high 24 points in the first half as No. 13 NYSSWA Class B East Rochester built a 22-point lead after 16 minutes of action and advanced to the semis with the Bombers’ ninth straight win. Tanner went 5-for-5 from the free throw line in the half. Ray Allen (10), Jason Hernandez (13), Justice Allen (14) and Tyler Leisten (11) also got into double figures for the Bombers. Other scorers for ER included Jaidyn Herb (3), Samad Ellington (2), Saniel Figueroa (2), Noah Wollschleger (9) and Logan Mek (6). DJ Barber led Williamson with 17 points. Myles LaCapra (15) and Nate Porchea (16) also got into double figures for the Marauders. Other scorers included Brett Byron (2), Jon Ryan (8) and Daniel Swarthout (2). East Rochester will face No. 1 Bishop Kearney/Chesterton in the semifinals.

NO. 6 AVON (11-11) 43
NO. 3 CHARLES G FINNEY (18-3) 59

No. 20 NYSSWA Class B Charles G Finney won its fifth straight. They’ll face No.2 Canisteo-Greenwood in the semifinals.

NO. 7 ADDISON (11-11) 42
NO. 2 CANISTEO-GREENWOOD (17-3) 62

Carson Chaffee scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead No. 3 NYSSWA Class B Canisteo-Greenwood as the Chargers advanced to the semis with their fifth straight. James Smith (14), Kevin Sirianni (13) and Thomas Sirianni (11) also got into double figures for the Chargers, with Smith adding seven rebounds to his line. Keaton Quick led Addison with 11 points. Canisteo-Greenwood will face No. 3 Charles G Finney in the semifinals.
