The 2026 Section V Class B1 Girls’ Basketball bracket features five teams from Livingston County Division I, three from Finger Lakes East, two representatives from Wayne County and one squad from Section V Independent. First-round matchups tipped off on Saturday, February 21 at 2 p.m. and the final two teams will battle in the Class B1 championship on Wednesday, March 4 scheduled for 8 p.m. at Finger Lakes Community College.
Dansville enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed with a 17-3 record after losing in the quarterfinals to Wellsville in 2025. The Mustangs have won five of their last eight games by 20 points or more. Waterloo rolls into the tournament with a 15-5 record and its second straight appearance as the No. 2 seed. The Tigers have won eight of their last nine matchups to close its season.
No. 3 Hornell enters the tournament as the reigning champions of Class B1. The Red Raiders finished with a 15-5 record, claiming three straight victories to end its season. Williamson/Marion grabbed the No. 4 seed with a 14-6 record including four straight wins to close its season. No. 5 Penn Yan closed out its season with 12-8 record. Here’s the breakdown:
