Jack Leasure Shooting and Skills Camp Sectional Preview: Boys’ Class B1

The 2026 Section V Class B1 Boys’ Basketball bracket features all five teams from Livingston County Division I, four from Finger Lakes East, two from Section V Independent and one each from Livingston County Division II and Wayne County. First round action tips off on Wednesday, Feb. 25 with 10 teams fighting for a spot in the quarterfinals. The B1 final will be held at Blue Cross Arena on March 6.

After falling in the quarterfinals of the B1 playoffs to Mynderse last year, Le Roy enters the postseason this year as the top seed with a 13-7 record. The Oatkan Knights have won six of their last eight games coming into the tournament. Two-seed Hornell is looking for its first sectional championship since 2013.

Three-seed Wayland-Cohocton, looking for its first sectional championship since 2012, enters the tournament winning seven of its last eight games. Four-seed Waterloo is looking for redemption after falling in the B1 final in 2025. The Tigers are looking for their first sectional title since 1972.

No. 9 Livonia (6-14) @ No. 8 Midlakes (6-14)

Winner of Livonia/Midlakes @ No. 1 Le Roy (13-7)

Winner of Dansville/Mynderse @ No. 2 Hornell (12-8)

Winner of Haverling/Wellsville @ No. 3 Wayland-Cohocton (12-8)
