The 2026 Section V Class AA2 Boys’ Basketball bracket features six teams from Monroe County Division III along with one each from Monroe County Division II, Monroe County Division IV, the Rochester City Athletic Conference and the Private/Parochial League.
Top-seeded Pittsford Mendon (No. 6 NYSSWA Class AA) finished the season on a 16-game winning streak and enters postseason play with a 19-1 record. The Vikings split the two games they played against second-seeded Pittsford Sutherland (No. 7 NYSSWA Class AA), who started the season with 17 straight wins and is 18-2.
Greece Athena, the No. 3 seed, carries a 15-5 record and is looking to repeat as Section V Class AA2 champions. The No. 4 seed of the bracket, Gates Chili, finished 14-6 and fell to the Trojans by just six points in the semifinals in 2025. First round matchups start on Wednesday. Here’s the breakdown:
