Saturday Girls’ Basketball Wrap: Keshequa’s Isaman has a 28 point double-double; Clement’s double-double leads Webster Schroeder to 17th straight win

Avery Kroening scored 11 of her 13 points in the third quarter when Webster Schroeder turned a one-point deficit into an eight-point lead heading into the final quarter of action. Kroening connected four times from the floor and converted 3-of-4 free throws in the third to stake the Warriors to a 33-25 advantage heading into the final eight minutes of action. The ninth grader also had two rebounds, three steals, two assists and a block. Kylie Clement recorded a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds in the win, Schroeder’s 17th straight. Clement also added two steals, one block, and two assists. Kenyatta Hart connected on five shots from the field and converted 3-of-6 free throws to finish with 13 points, eight rebounds, four blocks, and two assists. Jenna DiMarco finished with six points alongside four rebounds, one steal, and two assists, while Olivia Fulkerson scored two points with one rebound, two steals, and two assists. Brielle McCauley also tallied two points for the Warriors. Arianna McMahon (8), Reese Booker (7), Abby Schlotterbeck (5), Jayda Jackson (5), Addyson Gizzi (4), and Julia Lyman (3) all scored for Lancaster.

Aliysiah Clark scored 24 points during Marcus Whitman’s fourth win in five games. Clark connected on nine shots from the field with one 3-pointer and converted four of six free throws. Clark scored 11 of her 24 points in the fourth quarter. Cecilia Conley (9), Sophia Snyder (7), Evelyn Royston (7), Annabelle Weston (3), and Whitney Cotroneo (1) scored for the Wildcats.

Ashlyn Weatherby posted an 18-point, 16-rebound double-double to lead South Seneca. Weatherby also had eight steals and four blocks in the win. Tori Scott added 16 points, four rebounds, four blocks, two assists and a steal for the Falcons.

Kara Mahany scored 18 points to put Canisteo-Greenwood back into the win column. Mahany connected on three of her five 3-pointers and scored 11 points in the second quarter to help give the Chargers a 37-4 point lead going into the break. Gracen Mahany scored 10 points, all from the field. Payton Bentley (8), Paris May (6), Lyla Greenfield (5), Bailey Mullen (5), MacKenna Mullen (5), Harlie McCaffery (4), Anna Mitchell (3), Addy Andrus (2), and Lexi Winslow (2) scored for the Chargers. The top scorer for Addison was Caidyn Jones with 15 points. Jones connected on five throws from the field, with three being from beyond the 3-point line. Khloe Snow (5), Alyssa Symonds (5), Aundrea Strope (2), and Sophia Hulslander (2) all scored for the Knights.

Braelyn Isaman recorded a double-double on 28 points and 16 rebounds to put Keshequa back into the win column. Isaman also finished with four assists and two steals. Bree Benner netted 12 points with one assist, three rebounds, and one steal, while Alicia Wood also scored 12 points with eight rebounds, one steal, and one block. Ryley Benner scored five points and tallied seven assists, one rebound, and two steals, while Riley Nageldinger scored two points on six rebounds and one block. Belle Rigney ended the day with two rebounds.

Laura Hall converted 13-of-20 free throws and finished with 27 points to lead Jasper-Troupsburg in Steuben County tournament semifinal action. Leah Lawson added 14 points for the Wildcats. Alaina Trenchard (2) Keira Marsh (4). AJ McIntyre led Avoca-Prattsburgh with 15 points. D’mariannah Hinson-Pike (9) Meyah Putnam (8) and Evelyn Travis (8) also scored for the Titans. Jasper-Troupsburg will face top-seeded Wednesday in the league championship game.
