Weekend Section V Hockey Wrap: Webster Schroeder caps undefeated regular season; Kowal tallies three points for Victor

FRIDAY’S GAMES

WEBSTER SCHROEDER (20-0-0) 4
MCQUAID (6-10-1) 2
Anthony Pusateri‘s three-point performance helped Webster Schroeder complete their first ever undefeated regular season in program history. Pusateri scored a goal and tallied two assists. Nicholas Scott collected a power play goal and a helper. Aiden Spakoski and Niko Schouten also found the back of the net for the Warriors. Schouten’s marker came with a man-advantage. Connor Scott, Noah Spakoski, and Cody Preston all registered an assist. Jayce Rodger and Noah Bernard found the back of the net for McQuaid. Peter Tamoutselis and Wyatt Miller each had a helper in the contest.

SPARTAN HOCKEY (10-9-1) 2
ITHACA (IV) 2 OT
Nick Maslowski and Matt Turner both found the back of the net for Spartan Hockey in the contest. Turner’s goal came on the power play. Andrew Guntrum and Paxton Landon both collected an assist for the Spartans.

Oliver Kowal‘s two-goal effort guided Victor to a four game winning streak. Kowal scored the overtime winner in the contest. Joey Hellinger also scored for the Blue Devils. Jack Abbott collected two assists while Brennen Paskins recorded one of his own. Ryan Carlson and Louie Ferrari scored for Aquinas. Steve Bell, Chuck Dossier, and Ryan Carmody all collected an assist for the Li’l Irish.

LIVINGSTON LAKERS (0-16-2) 1
WEBSTER THOMAS (10-7-2) 3
Nate Scheirer’s two-goal performance helped Webster Thomas win back-to-back contests. Jackson Bernier also scored for the Titans.

SATURDAY’S GAMES

PENFIELD (10-8-1)
WFL PANTHERS (13-5-1)
Wesley Maksymiu’s two-point effort helped Penfield finish the regular season on a three-game winning streak. Maksymiu scored and tallied an assist. Connor Anson and  Carson Welz also found the back of the net for the Patriots. Nick DiCataldo, James Joseph, George Marron, and Owen Harris all collected a helper in the contest. Liam Kivimaki and Fischer Sleeman scored for the WFL Panthers. Ryan Allen tallied two assists while Sean Allen registered one of his own.

CHURCHVILLE-CHILI (3-17-0) 2
VICTOR (13-6-1) 4
Jack Abbott and Oliver Kowal’s three-point effort helped Victor end the regular season on a five-game winning streak. Kowal scored twice including once on the power play and tallied an assist. Abbott scored and recorded two assists. Kyle Casey scored his first varsity goal for the Blue Devils. AJ Bielecki, Collin Schoeneman, Samuel Streb, and Brennen Paskins all collected an assist in the contest. Brody Gallagher and Evan Girolamo found the back of the net for Churchville-Chili. Evan Girolamo recorded a helper for the Saints.

MCQUAID (6-11-1) 3
FAIRPORT (9-10-1) 4 OT
Garrett Martin’s overtime game-winner helped Fairport finish the regular season with back-to-back victories. Martin, Jack Gosiewski, Jake Rene, and Corey Rene all finished with a goal and an assist for the Red Raiders.  Lucas Andreatta and Grant Ralston each had an assist in the contest. Peter Tamoutselis, Drew Amborski, and Xander Jensen all found the back of the net for McQuaid. Jayce Rodger, Will Duckworth, Eoghan Maier, and Connor Edgecombe all collected a helper for the Black Knights in the contest.

HILTON (11-8-1) 5
WEBSTER THOMAS (10-8-2) 2
Aiden Paul and Lucas Nuccitelli scored the goals for Webster Thomas. Nuccitelli’s goal came on the power play. Nathan Scheirer Assisted on the man-advantage tally.
