Friday Girls’ Basketball Wrap: Buchiere scores go-ahead basket for Canandaigua; Marsh reaches 2,000 for points for Lima Christian

Gianna Buchiere scored the go-ahead basket with 15 seconds left, and Canandaigua won its sixth straight game. The score finished a nine-point night for the sophomore. Leah Sheridan (13) and Sophia Frayne (11) also reached double-figures. Kadyn Chapman (3) and Lauryn Campbell (2) also scored. Laura Kosten led Mercy with 11 points, while Allison Barone (7), Bridget Wise (5), Emerson Wandkte (4), Robin Jones (3), Angelina Borrelli (2), and Ella Rogala (2) rounded out scoring.

Alyssa Cowart scored 22 points to go with eight assists and three rebounds as Eastridge won its second straight. Aaliviah Green and Kenya Scott both scored 17 points, with Scott also pulling down 10 rebounds to make it a double-double. Green also made five assists and three steals. Qa’Mariona Greene scored nine points and five rebounds, while Lili Crittenden tallied four points and three rebounds. Gabriella Rawlins (3) and Tierra-Nicole Green (2) also scored, with Green pulling down five rebounds and recording five assists. Scarlett Kremer rounded out scored with two points and two boards. Hayden Byer chalked up 26 points for Gates Chili. Evelyn Amesbury (9), Allison Amesbury (6), Mia Torres (4), Payton Krester (3) and Cassie Carpenter (2) rounded out scoring for the Spartans.

Jorja Gray had a double-double of 32 points and 14 points as Spencerport returned to the win column. Emily Peacock scored 11 points and tallied six assists. Leigha Pokracki scored seven points and pulled down six boards. Alia Gatto (6), Addison Lynch (5), Sabella Lecesse (4), Addison Wentworth (3), Ava Murney (3), and Teghan Veramini (2) rounded out scoring for the Rangers. Webster Thomas was led by Maddie Stoutenberg, with 10 points. Olivia Constantine (9), Olivia Pelton (5), Julia Romano (2), Alex Arbore (2), Brynn Becker (2), Avery Vanderwoude (2), and Shelby Olear (1) also scored.

Julia Gaffney scored 18 points, including four three-pointers, and also pulled down six rebounds and three assists as Churchville-Chili won its fifth straight. Erin Marone scored 13 points with eight rebounds, five assists, and eight blocks. Cadence Bachman also reached double-digits with 11 points as well as three rebounds. London Thomas (14) and Ellie Bottiglier (11) led Irondequoit in scoring.

Alyssa Marsh scored her 2,000th career point as Lima Christian won its second straight game and fourth in five games. Marsh also made 12 steals to make it a double double. Charlotte Baker scored nine points, while Sophy Britton (7), Abby Dils (6), Lucy Swan (4), Brielle Hammond (3), and Molly Teitsworth (3) rounded out scoring. Hammond pulled down 14 rebounds. Alina Shuvalor led Northstar with eight points.

Addison Falsone scored 20 points, including five three-pointers, as the Bloomfield Bombers won their third straight and sixth out of seven games. Call McCombs also reached double-digits with 14 points, while Sydney Falsone added six. Evalynn Howlett, Sadie Kachmaryk, and Marlee Poole each scored three points, all from beyond the arc. Sawyer Didas and Alina Hagen had two points each. Danielle McDermott led Mynderse with 16 points while adding a rebound, a steal, and an assist. Reese Markel scored six points with 10 rebounds and three steals. Ryleigh Ryrko (3), Peyton Verkey (2, with 4 assists, 2 rebounds, 3 steals), and Gabriella Higby (2) also scored. Hannah O’Brien recorded four rebounds, two steals, and an assist. Allyson Fenton and Iris Heitmann had two rebounds each.

Gwyn Panek had 19 point for Waterloo, while Addison Bree put up 16 points. Khia Moody also reached double-digits with 11 points. Kinsley Bree (6), Tangel Williams (3), and Jonay Hawkins (2) also scored.. Martianna Chance led Newark with 13 points. Khloe Paul and Sophia Delfs each scored six points, with Delfs putting up 10 rebounds. Karina Natale and Melaniyah Howard each scored five points, with Natale recording five assists. Arizona Chapple had 12 rebounds to go with two points. Adrianna Smith also scored two points.

Avon’s Maria Geary reached 1,000 career points as part of a double-double night of 21 points and 10 rebounds. Geary also tallied six assists, three steals, and two blocks. Lauren Hill also reached double figures with 17 points and six rebounds, while Kaitlyn Hillman had nine rebounds and two assists. Ange Salogar had two points with five rebounds and two assists. Kate Good led Geneva with seven points.

Leah Buffan had six three-pointers as part of a 22-point night. Avery Hoffmann also scored double-digits, with 16 points. Raegan Quigley (9), Sam Dohse (8), and Jordyn Brice (5) rounded out scoring for the Panthers. Taylor Carnevale led Clyde-Savannah with 17 points and added two rebounds and three assists. Sophia Marrot put up 12 points with four rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Katie Cronin also reached double figures with 10 points to go with five boards. Larissa Walters (7, with 5 rebounds and 5 assists), Alexis Tohafjian (5, with a rebound and a steal), and Taylor Record (1, with 2 rebounds) also scored. Bella Smart had six rebounds and six assists.

Ellie Alexander scored 28 points as Williamson won its third straight. Georgie Alexander added 20 points, with Ngalua Mulowayi putting up 13. Jaecia Bourne (6), Lydia McKay (6), and Keira Robinson (5) rounded out scoring. Ja’Niyah Bell had a 25 points, 15 rebound double-double for Lyons, adding two assists, four steals, and four blocks. Car’Mella Parker had 25 points with four boards and an assist. Addison Jones (4, with 6 rebounds), Kamryn Bonnell (2, with 2 rebounds, an assist, and 3 steals), and Areyanna Carter (2, with a rebound) also scored.

Aniyah Eldridge scored 16 points with five steals and four assists as East Rochester won its second straight game and third of the last four. Maddy Fioravanti scored nine points with six rebounds. Mia Rountree and Alex LaBounty both scored seven points, with Rountree pulling down seven rebounds and LaBounty making six assists and six boards. Taylor Bailey scored 17, including four three-pointers.

Annika Milillo scored 15 of her game-high 17 points in the second half to lead Letchworth back from an 18-14 halftime deficit for its 11th straight win. Millilo had three-pointers on the night. Gillian Kemp also scored a majority of her points in the second half, putting up six of her seven points in the fourth. Sasha Bellamy (8), Harper Bliss (5), Maya Bellamy (4), and Kendall Jines (2) also put points on the board. Bailey Canton led Le Roy with 11 points, while Makenna Gallo and Molly Chase both tallied seven points. Kylie Wilson (4), Maddison Paddock (4), and Cora Weaver (2) rounded out scoring.

Selena Maldanado and Raegan Evingham led Hornell with 14 points and 13 points, respectively. Taylor Hamsher scored 15 points with seven rebounds and five assists for Dansville. Samantha O’Connor scored 12 points with four rebounds and two steals. Kassidy Cole had a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds. Colleen Metcalfe racked up four points and seven rebounds.

Lucy Rea’s 16 points led Byron-Bergen to its third win of its last five. Riley Shallenberger and Megan Jarkiewicz both scored 11 points, while June Dorman (9) and Simone Scharvogel (8) also scored. Jayden Hooten scored nine points for Pembroke.

Allison Harkness scored a career-high 20 points as Oakfield-Alabama used a 31-point third quarter to overcome a 27-17 halftime deficit. Harkness also pulled down four rebounds. Harper Hicks also reached a career high, with 12 points, and tallied eight rebounds. Allie Williams had a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds. Hadley Hicks also reached double-digits with 10 points and made eight rebounds. Raine Denny scored nine points and was credited with three assists. Chloe Luttrell (4) and Alexa Clark (2) also scored. Brooklyn Jachimowicz led Elba with 20 points and eight rebounds, while Brea Smith had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Sofia Falleti scored 22 points with seven rebounds to lead Notre Dame Batavia to its fourth win of the last five games. Shirley Thompson also scored double-digits, with 14 points. Quinn Boardman (5, with 4 rebounds), Clarissa Milliman (5), Pennyjo Thompson (4), Harper Ferris (3), Gianna Falleti (2, with 5 steals), and Emma Fitch (2) also scored.
