Mid-week Section V Hockey Wrap: Wood scores overtime winner for Aquinas; Rohr tallies five points for Brighton/HFL/Eastridge/Gananda

MONDAY’S GAME

WILLIAMSVILLE EAST (VI) 4
AQUINAS (12-3-1) 5 F/OT
Caleb Wood scored the overtime game-winner to guide Aquinas to its fourth victory in their five contests. Wood along with his game-winner also collected two assists. Louie Ferrari found the back of the net twice on the power play for the Li’l Irish. Ryan Carmody scored a man-advantage goal and registered a helper. Aquinas was 3-for-4 on the power play in the contest. Ryan Carlson also found the back of the net. Connor Williams recorded two assists while Bryce Miller and Steve Bell collected one of their own.

TUESDAY’S GAMES

AQUINAS (13-3-1) 3
BATAVIA NOTRE DAME (5-12-0) 1
Ryan Carmody’s three-point performance helped Aquinas win its fourth straight contest. Carmody scored twice including once on the power play and tallied an assist. Tyler Muir scored the other goal for the Li’l Irish. Caleb Wood, Charlie Shannon, Anthony Conte, and Connor Williams all collected a helper in the contest. Domenic Viele scored the lone goal for Batavia Notre Dame on the power play with assists from Will Stevens and Maggio Buchholz.

VICTOR (8-6-1) 5
WENSTER THOMAS (7-6-2) 5 OT
Cam Hall’s three-point performance helped Webster Thomas earn the tie against Victor. Hall scored twice including once on the power play and registered an assist. Nathan Scheirer Found the back of the net twice for the Titans. Aiden Paul scored and tallied a helper. Nic Crescimanni also collected an assist during the contest. Carson Decker, Oliver Kowal, Joey Hellinger,  AJ Finocchario, and  Eli Weingart all found the back of the net for Victor. AJ Bielecki recorded two helpers while Collin Schoeneman, Jack Abbott, and Robert Briggs all collected one of their own.

LIVINGSTON LAKERS (0-13-1) 3
BRIGHTON/HFL/EASTRIDGE/GANANDA (3-13-1) 5
 Patrick Rohr’s five point performance helped Brighton/HFL/Eastridge/Gananda end its six game losing streak. Rohr scored a hat trick including one on the power play and tallied two assists. Nathan Loncz scored a goal and registered a helper. Ethan Flannery also found the back of the net for the Bruins. Phillip Stapf and  Ivan Seablom each collected an assist. Logan Utberg led the Livingston Lakers offense with his two career varsity goals including one with the man-advantage and tallied a helper. Logan Presler scored a goal and registered an assist. Brody Smith collected two helpers while Mason Blum and Harrison Bruckel recorded one of their own.

SPATAN HOCKEY (9-8-0) 3
FAIRPORT (7-8-1) 6
Corey Rene scored four times to help Fairport end its three game losing streak. Owen Sergeant and Marc Hillier also found the back of the net for the Red Raiders. Jake Rene Collected two helpers in the contest. Jack Gosiewski, Colin Shufelt, Thomas Pane, Grant Ralston, Jameson Pierandri, and Dan Bartolick all recorded an assist. Matt Turner led the Spartan Hockey offense with two goals. Nick Maslowski scored a goal and an assist for Spartans. Wyatt Flannery and AJ Parker each had a helper in the contest.

PITTSFORD (15-1-1) 6
PENFIELD (8-8-1) 3
David Pollard’s four-point performance helped Pittsford win its eighth straight contest. Pollard tallied a hat trick that included an empty net short handed goal and a power play goal along with an assist in the contest. Kelan Ahern found the back of the net twice for the Panthers. Max Erskine also scored in the contest. Evan Weiner and Luke Albano each collected two helpers. Ryan Munzinger, Ryan Schmalstich, Casey Reagan, Nolan Sellers, and Adam Pollard all recorded an assist. Sellers helper was his first varsity point. Nick DiCataldo led the Penfield offense with a goal and an assist. Corbin Miller and Owen Harris also found the back of the net for the Patriots. McAllister King tallied two assists while Carson Schubmehl, James Joseph, and Jace Wilkins each had one of their own.

GREECE STORM (4-13-1) 1
PORTSIDE ROYALS (6-10-2) 4
Wyatt Pentz’s four point performance helped the Portside Royals win back-to-back contests. Pentz scored a goal and tallied three assists. Zachary Haines found the back of the net twice while collecting a helper as well. Andrew Lamberton scored and tallied an assist for the Royals. Kyle LaForce, Luke LaForce and Samuel Schultz all registered a helper in the contest.

CANISIUS (VI) 6
MCQUAID (6-7-1) 1
Eoghan Maier scored the lone goal for McQuaid with an assist from Peter Tamoutselis.

WEDNESDAY’S GAMES

FAIRPORT (6-9-1) 1
WEBSTER SCHROEDER (17-0-0) 4
Aiden Spakoski’s three-point effort helped keep Webster Schroeder’s undefeated campaign alive. Spakoski found the back of the net including once short handed and tallied an assist. Nicholas Scott also found the back of the net twice including once on the power play for the Warriors. Connor Scott and Anthony Pusateri each had two helpers in the contest. Tyler Splain and Niko Schouten both had an assist for the Warriors. Jack Gosiewski scored the lone goal for Fairport with an assist from Corey Rene.

CANANDAIGUA (4-13-1) 1
WFL PANTHERS (12-4-0) 2
Ryan Allen’s two goal effort guided the WFL Panthers back into the win column after a defeat in their last contest. Sean Allen and Jake Middlebrook assisted on Allen’s goals. Gavin Nemitz scored the lone Canandaigua goal with assists from Arthur Fuller and Teron Bacon. Matthew Ulrich made 38 saves in the net for the Gray Wolves.

THURSDAY’S GAMES

LEWISTON-PORTER (VI) 3
LIVINGSTON LAKERS (0-14-1) 1
Harrison Bruckel scored the lone goal for the Livingston Lakers with assists from Andy Crilly and Nolan Bannister.
