Wednesday Girls’ Basketball Wrap: Geiger leads SOTA with 29; McCombs lifts Bloomfield to third-straight win

Breyelle Geiger scored 15 of her game-high 29 points as SOTA grabbed a 30-26 lead heading into halftime. Geiger hit 11 times from the floor, including five threes and two free throws. Gabrielle Norman ended with 20 points. Jasmyne Jones pitched in 16 points in the win. Daniela Cantero led Wilson/Early with 25 points. Marlie Wilson dropped in 18 points. Bra’asia Lucas added 10 points. Kimora Hampton hit two threes. Romani Thomas finished with two points.

Semaj Jackson led East with 14 points. Alani Montgomery and Madison Simmons each hit for 11 points. Darianna Weathers pitched in 10 points. T’Mahry Nesmith (5), Journe Caliz (4), Aniyah Ripley (2), Ta’majaha Lenear (2) and Layla Germany (2) each scored in the win. Jazmine Flowers topped Monroe with seven points. Kimani Mitchell hit for four points. Aaliyah Tucker ended with three points.

Laura Kosten topped Our Lady of Mercy with a game-high 17 points. Emerson Wandtke added 13 points. Ella Rogala and Madelyn Goetz each had nine points. Robin Jones (8), Elinor Meyer (6), Josephine Webster (5), Allison Barone (5), Bridget Wise (5), Samantha DiSalvo (3) and Angelina Borrelli (2) each scored in the win.

Addison Bree led Waterloo with 21 points. Gwyn Panek hit for 17 points. Tangel Williams ended with 12 points. Khia Moody and Delainey Battin pitched in six points each. Jonay Hawkins had two points in the win.

Calla McCombs led Bloomfield to its third-straight win with 18 points. Addison Falsone connected on five three-pointers. Sadi Kachmaryk pitched in nine points. Sydney Falsone and Trinity Forde added three points apiece. Sawyer Didas and Marlee Poole each had two points in the win. Julia Belanger topped Pal-Ma with 12 points and eight rebounds. Shelby Geer hit for nine points. Addison Blair pitched in six points. Aubrey Young connected for five points. Georgia Wirth popped in two points and Gabby Leone added two points.

Karina Natale led Newark to its fifth-straight win with 23 points and nine steals. Arizona Chapple pitched in an 18-point, 13-rebound double-double. Adrianna Smith ended with eight points. Melaniyah Howard hit for four points. Khloe Paul and Martianna Chance had three points apiece.

Bailey Cooper accounted for seven of her game-high 16 points in the second-half as Penn Yan outscored Mynderse 23-16 to seal the win. Cooper hit five times from the floor with one three-pointer and five free throws. Makenna Mullins ended with 10 points. Mady Pierce pitched in nine points. Sofia Montano hit for four points. Morgan Breuer and Abby Fischer each had two points in the win. Reese Markel led Mynderse with nine points. Payton Verkey and Hannah O’Brien added eight points each. Ryliehg Ryrko popped in seven points. Gabriella Higby had three points.

Cadence Brecker netted eight of her game-high 17 points in the first quarter as HAC jumped out to a 18-4 lead heading into the second frame. Brecker hit eight times from the field and one from the stripe. Baylor Smith ended with 16 points. Gabby Giambra added 14 points. Lanae Vargas hit for 10 points. Riley White finished with four points. Olivia Fowler and Zuri Balkman had two points apiece. Gizelle Aguilera topped Romulus with six points. Megan Chambers (4), Marina Rokosz (2), Ava Parish (2), Alyssa Mari (2), Audree Galipeau (1) and Paige Brewer (1) all scored.

Aliysiah Clark netted 14 of her game-high 22 points in the fourth quarter as Marcus Whitman outscored Livonia 18-11 to close out the game. Clark connected eight times from the floor with one three-pointer and five free throws. Evy Royston ended with 12 points. Brooke Berna hit for 10 points. Cecilia Conley hit for four points. Sophie Snyder had two points in the win. Molly Hitchcock led Livonia with 21 points. Chloe Meys hit three threes. Avery Snyder popped in five points. Maddie Whitfield and Sidney Clickner each hit a three.
