Saturday Girls’ Basketball Wrap: Fillmore’s Mucher produces a quadruple-double; Bush scores 18 in Sutherland’s largest win of the season

Jorja Gray recorded 27 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocks for Spencerport during the Rangers’ fifth straight win. Leigha Pokracki scored 20 points and had seven rebounds, while Emily Peacock registered four points and six assists. Addison Lynch (4), Alia Gatto (3), Teghan Vergamini (2), and Addison Etter (1) all scored for Spencerport. Top scorers for Greece Athena were Bianca White (13), Sam Frumusa (13), Juliana Bates (5), Laila Deleon (5), Cara Elrod (2), and Maddie Ewanow (1) all scored for the Thunder

Emerson Wandtke scored 23 points to lead Our Lady of Mercy. Wandtke connected seven times from the floor and converted 9-of-10 free throws. The ninth-grade forward’s nine-point third quarter put the Monarchs up 51-33. Laura Kosten scored 10 points after converting 4-of-6 FT and connecting three times from the field. Ella Rogala (9), Madelyn Goetz (8), Bridget Wise (4), Angelina Borrelli (3), and Allison Barone (3) all scored for the Monarchs. Denari Langston led Bishop Kearney with 15 points after connecting four shots from the field and converting 7-of-9 free throws. Claire Spears scored 12 points, connecting five shots from the field (2 three-pointers). Isabela Brookins (9), Sureya Fernandez (6), Tamia McCadney (5), Saniyya Willis (4), and Jane Witkoski (1) all scored for the Kings.

Arizona Chapple scored 17 points and grabbed 18 rebounds in Newark’s third straight win. The 20-plus point victory is the Reds’ eighth win by such a margin this season. Karina Natale (13), Martianna Chance (12), Adrianna Smith (6), Khloe Paul (5), Melaniyah Howard (5), Sophia Delfs (4), and Maylee Miller (2) scored for the Reds.

Lucy Bush led Pittsford Sutherland with 18 points, seven rebounds, and four assists as the Knights, ranked No. 1 NYSSWA Class A, won by double-digits for the 11th time this season. Petra Hunt contributed with 16 points while Payton Hamilton recorded 11 points. Lilli Crittenden led Eastridge in scoring with 13 points

Shirley Thompson scored 14 points with four steals as Notre Dame Batavia wins its third Hoops for Hope championship. The Lady Irish have now won seven straight games, all by double digits. Sofia Falleti scored 11 points with eight rebounds, six assists, and five steals. Quinn Boardman scored 11 points and had four steals. Clarissa Milliman tallied 10 points and four steals, while Gianna Falleti tallied six points and four steals. PennyJo Thompson (4) and Riley Yunker (3) also scored for Notre Dame Batavia.

Caidyn James had a 12-point second half to win Addison’s second straight game. James finished with 17 points. Khloe Snow would tally 13 points, connecting on five throws from the field, including one three-pointer, and converting 2-of-3 free throws. Marley Atherton (7), Alyssa Symonds (3), Aundrea Strope (3), and Alivia Sullivan (2) all scored for the Knights. Cecilia Conley (16), Sophia Snyder (12), Aliysiah Clark (9), and Evelyn Royston (5) were the top scorers for Marcus Whitman.

Taylor Carnevale recorded a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Golden Eagles’ sixth win in seven games. Taylor Record led the team with 11 rebounds and finished with two points and two assists. Sophie Marriott led Clyde-Savannah with four steals and ended with eight points and three rebounds. Alexis Tohafjian recorded seven points, nine rebounds, and three steals, while Bella Smart tallied five points, six rebounds, and two assists. Larissa Waters scored five points on three rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block, while Katie Cronin scored four points on six rebounds, one assist, and one steal. Jada Brown (17), Taylor Bailey (8), and Kendra Waterman (7) were top scorers for Red Creek.

Braelyn Isaman finished with 21 points, and Keshequa, ranked No. 6 NYSSWA Class C, won by double-digit win for the 12th time this season. Isaman also added six assists, seven rebounds, one steal, and one block. Going into halftime, Keshequa was leading 37-8. Riley Nageldinger finished with 15 rebounds on four points, one assist, one steal, and two blocks. Bree Benner recorded three points with two rebounds, two steals, and one block, while Quinn Powers made one assist, three rebounds, and one steal. Onnalee Long ended with three points and one assist, while Ryley Benner made 11 points on three assists, four rebounds, and two steals. Alicia Wood finished with 15 points on six rebounds, one steal, and two blocks, while Raelyn GuldenSchuh and Kaydra Morrill tallied two rebounds each for the Athletics. For Pavilion, Emma Tilloston led the Golden Gophers with 11 points. Natalie Nichiporuk (10), Mollie McMaster (2), Charlotte Rudgers (2), Addy Harkins (2), and Mia Gilkes (2) scored for Pavilion.

Emalyn Mucher produced a quadruple-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and 10 steals in Fillmore’s fifth win in six games. Morghyn Ross recorded a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds while also finishing with seven steals and five assists. Mattie McCumisky recorded 12 points and nine rebounds while Mylee Miller contributed with nine points and a game-leading 13 rebounds. Lily Sisson (9), Kelsie Songster (9), and Ella Decker (6) also scored for the Eagles.

Alyssa Marsh scored 23 points in the second half to secure back-to-back wins for the Saints. Marsh would finish with 29 points. Sophia Moses finished with 18 points and nine rebounds after scoring 12 points in the opening half. Sophy Britton ended with a season high of 10 rebounds and eight points. Brielle Hammond recorded a career-high 17 rebounds as the Saints finished with a program-high 63 boards in the game. Molly Teitsworth ended with six rebounds and five assists. Diamondnik Foster led YWCP with 21 points. Jah’Zell Strong (13) and Yenny Reyes (10) also scored for the Griffins
