Weekend Section V Hockey Wrap: Pentz tallies four points for Portside; Hall Scores four for Webster Thomas

FRIDAY’S GAMES

WEBSTER SCHROEDER (13-0-0) 4
CANANDAIGUA (4-10-1) 1
Connor Scott‘s two-goal performance helped keep Webster Schroeder undefeated. AJ Gervaise and Drew Currey also found the back of the net for the Warriors. Currey’s goal was his first at the varsity level. Nick Johnson tallied two assists while Rick Rinaldi, Anthony Pusateri, Niko Schouten, Owen Baldwin, and  Nicholas Scott all collected one of their own. Teron Bacon scored the lone goal for Canandaigua with help from Dominic Holmes and Henry Palmer.

PORTSIDE ROYALS (5-9-2) 6
PENFIELD (6-6-1) 1
Wyatt Pentz’s four-point performance helped the Portside Royals end their two game losing skid. Pentz scored twice including one on the power play and tallied two assists. Cole Laffin also scored twice in the contest. Andrew Lamberton registered a goal and an assist for the Royals. Samuel Schultz scored in the contest as well. Zachary Haines collected three helpers. Corbin Miller scored the lone goal for Penfield with assists from George Marron and Jace Wilkins.

SATURDAY’S GAMES

WFL PANTHERS (10-3-0) 3
LEWISTON-PORTER (VI) 2
Liam Kivimaki and Sean Allen‘s three-point performances helped the WFL Panthers win back-to-back contests. Kivimaki and Allen both scored and tallied two helpers. Kivimaki’s goal came on the power play. Ryan Allen scored a power play goal and tallied an assist. The Panthers man-advantage was 2-for-4 in the contest.

WEBSTER THOMAS (6-6-1) 7
Cam Hall’s four-goal performance helped Webster Thomas bounce-back from a defeat in their last contest. Hall’s last goal came short-handed. Nathan Scheirer tallied four points for the Titans with two goals and two assists. Aiden Paul scored a power play goal in the contest. Jackson Bernier collected three helpers while Lucas Nuccitelli registered tow of his own. Kage Corcran and  Alex Wright each had an assist in the contest as well. Corcran’s helper was his first varsity point.
