Wednesday Girls’ Basketball Wrap: McCombs, LaBour lead Bloomfield and Midlakes with 24 each; Mullen hits six threes in win

Darianna Weathers accounted for 10 of her game-high 17 points in the third quarter as East outscored Padilla 18-8 to grab a 30-point lead going into the final frame. Weathers hit seven times from the floor, including one three-pointer and a pair of free throws. Semaj Jackson added a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double. Jounre Caliz hit for eight points. Madison Simmons (6), Honesty Rapley (4), Aniyah Rapley (2), Layla Germany (2) and Alani Montgomery (1) all scored in the win. Shajanae O’Neal topped Padilla with 14 points. A’Zhiya Warnick hit a three-pointer. Ah’nisty Porter, Laraya Lewis and Izzy Tyman ended with two points each.

Emma LaBour led Midlakes with a game-high 24 points. Zoey Overslaugh ended with nine points. Alyssa Contreras hit for five points. Riley Kuhn and Sophey Carswell each had two points in the win. Shelby Geer topped Palmyra-Macedon with 12 points and six rebounds. Aubrey Young added nine points. Gabby Leone topped for seven points. Julia Belanger and Georgia Wirth had five points apiece. Wirth grabbed 10 rebounds and Belanger had eight. Addison Blair ended with three points.

Bailey Cooper scored 15 points to lead Penn Yan which rebounded from a loss with its fourth win in five games. Morgan Breuer added 11 points in the win. Makenna Mullins (8) and Mady Pierce (6) also scored for the Mustangs. Sydney Howard and Mia DeMinck scored six apiece for Wayne. Lauren Twist (5), Sarah Cass (2) and Gianna DiPaul (1) rounded out the scoring for the Eagles.

Calla McCombs led Bloomfield to its third-straight win, scoring 12 of her game-high 24 points in the fourth quarter as Bloomfield used a 17-10 advantage to seal the win. Addison Falsone ended with 12 points with three threes. Sydney Falsone pitched in 11 points. Sadie Kachmaryk added two points and Alina Hagen had one point in the win. Peyton Verkey topped Mynderse with 12 points. Gabriella Higby dropped in 10 points. Danielle McDermott and Hannah O’Brien ended with six points apiece. Ryleigh Ryrko pitched in four points. Reese Markle ended with three points.

Karina Natale led Newark with 19 points. Arizona Chapple had a 13-point, 16-rebound double-double. Chapple scored five of Newark’s nine points in overtime. Khloe Paul hit for five points. Adrianna Smith had three points. Sophia Delfs added two points and 11 rebounds. Martianna Chance hit one free throw in the win. Gwyn Panek topped Waterloo with 13 points. Khia Moody pitched in 10 points. Addison Bree (6), Tangel Williams (5) and Kinsley Bree (3) all scored.

Kendall Jines led Letchworth with eight points and seven rebounds. Sasha Bellamy added five points. Charity Scott hit for four points. Maya Bellamy and Annika Milillo pitched in three points each. McKenna Krist connected for two points. Gillian Kemp hit one free throw in the win. Madison Paddock topped LeRoywith six points. Bailey Caton added five points. Molly Chase pitched in four points. Kylie Wilson and Cora Weaver hit for two points apiece.

Natalie Eaton (4), Olivia Monteleone (3), Emma Wyant, (2) and Abigail Rowley (3) each scored in the win. Emma Tillotson topped Pavilion with six points. Charlotte Rudgers and Mollie McMaster each added five points. Mia Gilked had four points. Bre Palmer added two points. Natalie Nichiporuk pitched in a free throw.

Braelyn Isaman topped Keshequa with a 20-point, 14-rebound double-double. Alicia Wood added 14 points and eight rebounds. Belle Rigney ended with eight points. Bree Benner and Ryley Benner had six points each in the win. Bree Parsons led York with 19 points and nine rebounds. Fiona Grant pitched in an 11-point, 13-rebound double-double. Tessa Goodell had 11 points. Tessa Rodwell dropped in six points and 14 rebounds.

MacKenna Mullen netted 14 of her game-high 20 points in the first half as Canisteo-Greenwood grabbed a 44-17 lead going into the half. Mullen connected seven times from the floor with six threes. Kara Mahany ended with 13 points. Gracen Mahany pitched in 10 points. Bailey Mullen connected for nine points. Paris May (4), Addy Andrus (4), Payton Bentley (3) and Harlie McCaffrey (3) all scored in the win. Laura Hall topped Jasper-Troupsburg with 13 points. Leah Lawson added seven points. Avary Cornell had six points. Keira Marsh hit for five points. Annabelle VanNorman ended with two points.

Olivia Waters hit a pair of 3-pointers and led all scorers with 14 as Andover-Whitesville used a 22-6 advantage in the third quarter to pull away for a second straight win and third in the past four games. Stella Bledsoe added 13 points in the win. Braelyn Palmatier hit three times from distance as part of an 11-point effort. Lilly Harrington added 10 points. Makenna Vance (7) and Reece Winters (2) rounded out the scoring.
