Monday Girls’ Basketball Wrap: Larimer, Stewart duo leads Pittsford Mendon in fourth-straight win; Geary’s strong showing powers Avon

Lily Larimer and Addy Stewart combined for 23 points and 21 points, lifting Pittsford Mendon on the road to its fourth-straight victory. Larimer scored 12 points, converting five times from short range. Eva Dixon tied a game-high 21 points, making 7-of-8 at the line and seven shots inside the arc. Stewart made four two-point baskets. Leena Mobeen drilled a pair of three-pointers and added 14 points for the Vikings. Camryn Hernick chipped in six points and was 2-2 at the charity stripe. For East, Darianna Weathers led with 21 points, making eight of her nine baskets from two-point range. Semaj Jackson scored 16 points on eight buckets. Madison Simmons and Layla Germany added six points. Journe Caliz had four points.

Sophia Frayne dropped 19 points, making eight shots inside the arc to lead Canandaigua on the road. Gianna Buchiere followed with 14 points and connected six times from two-point range. Leah Sheridan tacked on 13 points and converted five times at the line. Lola Schorr chipped in four points. For Eastridge, Alyssa Cowart scored a team-high 11 points and connected once from long range. Tierra-Nicole Green added seven points.

Addison Bree and Gwyn Panek both scored 11 points, leading Waterloo to its fourth win in the last five games. For Churchville-Chili, Izzy Seaburg led with 10 points.

Calla McCombs dropped 21 points, powering Bloomfield to its second win in a row. Addie Falsone and Sadie Kachmaryk both followed with nine points. Sydney Falsone tacked on four points. Evalynn Howlett had three points. For Geneva, Heaven Strongs led with nine points.

Karina Natale finished with 23 points, five assists and five steals as Newark won by double digits for the fifth time this season. Khloe Paul added 18 points and five assists in the win. Arizona Chapple had 12 points and nine rebounds. Adrianna Smith (8), Martianna Chance (2) and Melaniyah Howard (2) also scored for the Reds.

Maria Geary poured in 16 points, five rebounds, four steals and two blocks, paving the way for Avon’s third-straight win. Abigail Hill followed with 14 points, three boards, two steals and two helpers. Avery Boor brought down eight rebounds and scored 10 points. Ange Salogar added 15 rebounds and three points for the Riverhawks. For Wayland-Cohocton, Emily Moran led with 10 points.

McKenna Rush dropped 13 points, powering Red Jacket at home. Alyssa Griffith followed with 10 points. Gianna Rizzo added six points, while Avery Close and Molly Adams both scored four. Eva Mitchell finished with three points. For Romulus, Kinsey Kime scored a team-high 11 points. Gizelle Aguilera followed with 10 points. Audrie Galipeau chipped in four points, while Natalie Busch had three.

FRIENDSHIP-SCIO (1-8) 19

Alaina Trenchard and Laura Hall both scored 11 points, powering Jasper-Troupsburg to its third win in a row. Hall added six rebounds. Keira Marsh tacked on 10 points and seven rebounds. Leah Lawson dished out four assists and scored nine points. Avary Cornell brought down seven rebounds and had four points.
