Saturday Girls’ Basketball Wrap: Notre Dame Batavia’s Falleti joins the 1,000 point club; Mobeen scores 18 in Pittsford Mendon’s third straight win

Bailey Caton finished with 13 points, and Le Roy won for the third time in the past four games. Maddie Paddock accounted for nine points and eight rebounds in the win. Makenna Gallo added eight points while Lilly MacKenzie and Cora Weaver scored six apiece in the win. Molly Chase had three points for the Oatkan Knights.

Kelly Wightman scored a team-leading and career-high 17 points to secure Victor’s third straight win after losing three straight. Vanessa Chumacaro and Allie Pisano both added 14 points for the Blue Devils. Denari Langston scored 17 points for Bishop Kearney.

Leena Mobeen went 6-for-6 at the free-throw line and led Pittsford Mendon with 18 points as the Vikings won a third straight game. Coming out of the opening quarter, Pittsford Mendon had a 20-5 lead thanks to a six-point effort from Camryn Hernick. Eva Dixon scored 11 points while Lillian Larimer and Addy Stewart scored nine points apiece. Other top scorers for the Vikings include Ella Pickels and Kendall Glantz (2). Alaria Tomidy led Batavia with 11 points. Miyah Manuel (8), Karizma Westcott (5), Violet Lopez (6), Teegan Frens (2) and Leilah Manuel (5) also scored for the Blue Devils.

NOTRE DAME-BATAVIA (5-3) 86
Sofia Falleti scored 26 points, including her 1,000th career point, and Notre Dame-Batavia won back-to-back games and three out of the last four. Falleti and Shirley Thompson both led the Irish with six rebounds while also tallying four steals each. Thompson also added 23 points to the scorecard. Clairissa Milliman led the team in steals with eight while recording eight points. Gianna Falleti (11), Harper Ferris (7), Emma Fitch (6), PennyJo Thompson (4), Riley Yunker (3), and Quinn Boardman (1) also scored for the Fightin’ Irish.
