Tuesday Girls’ Basketball Wrap: Kosten scores 17 points to lead Mercy; Bush and Hunt keep Sutherland unbeaten

Ally Tomidy, Karizma Wescott and Violet Lopez paced Batavia with eight points apiece in the win. Leilah Manuel, Teegan Frens and Naveah Thermus all followed with two points each. London Martin (1) and Addy Arroyo (1) closed out the scoring for the Blue Devils. Emma Tillotson led Pavilion with a game-high nine points. Haylee Cordes finished with five points while Charlotte Rudgers and Mollie McMaster each recorded four points. Bre Palmer (3), Mia Gilkes (2) and Lexi Rodgers (2) all scored for Pavilion.

Shaye Angelo contributed 25 points, seven steals and four assists to help Honeoye Falls-Lima back into the win column. Alysa Richards recorded 13 points and four assists. Olivia Petton added six points for Webster Thomas.

Julia Gaffney scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds, allowing Churchville-Chili to pull away with a win. Cadence Bachmann accounted for 14 points and five rebounds. Bianca LiBritz ended the game with six points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals. Brighton’s Charlotte Goldfeder led the team with 10 points.

Eva Dixon recorded 10 of her game-high 24 points in the first quarter to help Pittsford Mendon grab a 22-6 lead through the first eight minutes of action. Dixon connected on 10 shots inside of the arc and finished 4-for-6 at the charity stripe. Dixon also added five assists, five steals and four rebounds. Leena Mobeen contributed 23 points and six rebounds. Mobeen connected on 10 shots including one three alongside a 2-for-2 performance at the free throw line. Lillian Larimer added nine points. Ella Pickels nailed two triples for six points. Addy Stewart finished with four points and nine rebounds. Isabella Gallant (4) and Kendall Glantz (2) closed out the scoring for Mendon. Jorga Gray led Spencerport with 18 points in the efforts. Addison Lynch followed with 12 points while Emily Peacock contributed seven. Leigha Pokracki (5), Addison Etter (2), Sabella Lecessee (2) and Addison Wentworth (1) rounded out the scoring for the Rangers.

After trailing 17-15 through eight minutes, Petra Hunt helped Pittsford Sutherland with 18 points and 10 rebounds to climb back for a win. Lucy Bush contributed 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Kenzie Dermody added 14 points and six rebounds while Maddie Littlefield added 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Loren Green paced Aquinas with 16 points.

Vanessa Chumacero scored a game-high 26 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to record a double-double and lead Victor to a win. Allie Pisano followed with 16 points. Alyssa Cowart led Eastridge with 13 points. READ MORE.

Our Lady of Mercy’s Laura Kosten accounted for 10 of her team-high 17 points in the second half to outscore Hilton 30-20 in the frame as the Monarchs went on to win for the second time in three games. Kosten also finished with seven rebounds. Emerson Wandtke also reached double-digits with 12 points alongside four rebounds. Angelina Borrelli and Allison Barone both reached 10 points. Bridget Wise (6) and Ella Rogala (4) closed out the scoring for the Monarchs. Maddie Murphy led Hilton with 20 points. Jayleigh Esposito knocked down three 3-pointers. Taylor Anne recorded eight points. Amelia Sloan (4), Ava Heise (4) and Amiyah Miles (1) also scored for the Cadets.

HAC (5-2) 26
AVON (5-3) 45

Maria Geary poured in 23 points, eight rebounds, five steals and four assists to lead Avon to its third win by 10-plus points. Lauren Hill recorded eight points, two rebounds and three steals. Avery Boor and Kaitlyn Hillman combined for 16 rebounds. Cadence Brenner led the efforts for HAC with 16 points, eight rebounds and six blocks.

Maddie Daggett recorded 21 of her game-high 28 points in the second half as Marcus Whitman outscored Addison 30-21 after the break. Daggett connected on seven shots including a triple. Daggett also went 13-for-16 at the free throw line. Cecilia Conley followed with eight points. Sophie Snyder (6), Aliysiah Clark (5) and Whitney Cotroneo (3) also scored for the Wildcats. Khloe Snow paced Addison with 12 points in the efforts. Alivia Sullivan followed with seven points while Marley Atherton added six. Alyssa Symonds (4), Aundrea Strope (4) and Caidyn Jones (2) closed out the scoring for the Knights.

Jordyn Dyring finished the game with 28 points, two rebounds and one steal, pushing Hornell to three straight wins. Raegan Evingham followed with 24 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Selena Maldonado ended with 10 points, eight rebounds and a game-high five steals. Teegan Eveland added three points, three rebounds and two steals. Mia Nasca closed out the scoring for Hornell with two points. Fiona Grant led the efforts for York with 20 points and 18 rebounds. Tessa Rodwell followed with 16 points and six rebounds. Bree Parsons added eight points and 11 rebounds.

Nellie Koronas paced Perry with a game-high 22 points to help the Yellowjacket’s in the win. Natalie Eaton followed with 11 points to pair with eight rebounds. Emma Wyant and Madi Monteleone both finished the game with five assists apiece.

Olivia Amorese and Leigh Nickerson both led Caledonia-Mumford with 18 points and 16 ponts respectively in the win. The Red Raiders started the first half up 42-29 after Amorese and Nickerson combined for 27 points. Amorese added five rebounds while Nickerson added 13. Shea Drazkowski followed with seven points, three assists and three steals.

Brea Smith contributed a 16-point double-double with 11 rebounds to lead Elba back into the win column. Lydia Ross followed with 15 points and four rebounds. Ava Buczek recorded nine points, five assists and a team-high five steals. Brooklyn Jachimowicz recorded eight points and pulled down five rebounds. Brynn Stackhouse closed out Elba with four points, four rebounds and four steals.

Luara Hall scored 21 points to lead Jasper-Troupsburg back into the winning column. Keira Marsh followed with nine points while Leah Lawson finished with seven. Annabelle VanNorman recorded six points. Avary Cornell (5), Alaina Trenchard (4) and Brooklyn Button (2) rounded out the scoring for the Lady Wildcats. Jenn Tuttle paced Hinsdale with 11 points.

Meyah Putnam scored 10 of her game-high 19 points in the first quarter to help Avoca-Prattsburg establish a 21-0 lead. Putnam connected on seven shots including one triple as well as a 2-for-4 performance at the free throw line. Putnam also grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double. Payton Hopkins added 14 points including one triple. Evelyn Travis finished the game with 12 points and 11 rebounds for another double-double. D’Marionnah Hinsih-Pike ended with 11 points including three 3-pointers. AJ McIntyre (9), Brooke VanSkier (2) and Allison Travis (2) also scored for Avoca-Prattsburgh.
