Tuesday Girls’ Basketball Wrap: Bush leads Pittsford Sutherland in Great Livonia Shootout final; Murphy paces Hilton

Darianna Weathers recorded eight of her game-high 16 points in the final eight minutes to help East claim back-to-back wins. Weathers hit six shots within the arc and went 4-for-5 at the charity stripe. Semaj Jackson scored 10 of her 12 points in the first half. Madison Simmons finished with 10 points. Alani Montgomery (5), Layla Germany (4) and Journe Caliz (2) also scored for East. GiGi Williams led Greece Arcadia/Olympia with seven points. Ja’Nyah Reaves, Kamryn Defranco, Vivian Koffa and Samara Quintana all finished the game with four points. Jenelle Staples (2), Lillian Walker (2), Holly DeFrees (2) and Lilyanna Tracz (2) closed out the scoring for the Lightning.

Maddie Murphy scored a game-high 23 points alongside nine rebounds and three steals to help Hilton claim a fourth straight win by 30-plus points. Jayleigh Esposito nailed four first-half threes to claim a 49-15 at half. Selah Spry accounted for 13 points and five rebounds. Ally Starwald finished with eight points while Ava Heise added seven. Taylor Anne (2), Amelia Sloan (2) and Sam Korzenieski (2) also scored for Hilton.

After holding a 29-26 lead at halftime, Penfield junior Sara Petre accounted for eight of her 12 points in the third quarter as the Patriots outscored Broadalbin-Perth 20-7 in the frame. Jordan Rasmussen led all players with 15 points. Reegan Sercu ended the game with 13 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.

Avery Kroening paced Webster Schroeder scoring 14 of her 24 points in the second half to close out the win. Kroening connected on 11 shots from the field including one triple alongside a free throw. Jenna DiMarco scored six of her 15 points and Kenyatta Hart scored eight of her 10 points in the second quarter to outscore Eastridge 24-13 in the frame. Kylie Clement followed with eight points. Olivia Fulkerson (6), Lauren Robert (2), Bray Drechsler (1) and Alex Schoulen (1) closed out the scoring for Webster Schroeder. Alyssa Cowart led all scorers with 28 points in the efforts for Eastridge. Tierra-Nicole Green followed with seven points. Qa’Mariona Greene and Lilli Crittenden both recorded six points. Kenya Scott (4) and Gabriella Rawlins (2) rounded out the scoring for the Lancers.

Leah Sheridan connected on six shots, including a trio of three-pointers to total a game-high 18 points to lead Canandaigua in the win. Sheridan also finished 3-for-4 at the free throw line. Sophia Frayne scored 10 of her 12 points in the first half to establish a 33-19 lead through 16 minutes. Gianna Buchiere also reached double-digits with 10 points. Lola Schorr, Lauryn Campbell and Norah Ascroft each finished with three points apiece. Kadyn Champman (2) and Alexandra Eldred (2) also scored for the Gray Wolves. Leigha Pokracki led Spencerport with 13 points. Jorja Gray added seven points, including her 1,000th career point. Sabella Leccese (3), Emily Peacock (3), Alia Gatto (2) and Addison Lynch (2) closed out the scoring for the Rangers.

Tournament MVP Lucy Bush recorded 20 of her 25 points in the first half to lead Pittsford Sutherland to a 29-14 lead and claim the Great Livonia Shootout championship. Petra Hunt added a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds while also adding four assists and four steals. Maddie Littlefield ended with six points, six rebounds and five steals. Kenzie Dermody grabbed eight rebounds. Emerson Wandtke paced Our Lady of Mercy with 12 points.
