Monday Girls’ Basketball Wrap: Parsons, Rodwell have career days for York, Amorese notches double-double for Caledonia-Mumford

Maddie Murphy poured in 24 points, seven rebounds and four steals, as Hilton used a 26-5 run to win on the road. Taylor Anne followed with 12 points. Jayleigh Esposito, Selah Spry and Paige Dean all tacked on six points.

CANISTEO-GREENWOOD (6-1) 41
CANANDAIGUA (5-0) 45

Leah Sheridan scored eight of her team-high 19 points in the final frame, allowing Canandaigua to pull out a nail-biting win. After being knotted at 31 following the third quarter, Sheridan went 4-for-4 at the line and knocked down a pair inside the arc to pace the fourth quarter offense. Gianna Buchiere followed with six of her 10 points in the final frame and netted a three-pointer. Sophia Frayne tacked on seven points for the Grey Wolves. Lauryn Campbell added six points. Lola Schorr had three points. For Canisteo-Greenwood, Bailey Mullen drained four shots from deep and led with 19 points. Gracen Mahany chipped in eight points on three made baskets. Kara Mahany went 5-8 at the line and scored seven points. Paris May tacked on three points.

Eva Dixon dropped 15 points, as Pittsford Mendon came away with a close road win. Dixon made four of her five baskets inside the arc and went 4-for-4 at the charity stripe. Leena Mobeen made four shots from the floor, including a three-pointer and chipped in 11 points. Camryn Hernick added six points on three baskets. Lillian Larimer scored four points, while Addy Stewart had three. For Victor, Allie Pisano converted a three-point jumper and led with 11 points. Grace Janczak added 10 points and was 2-2 at the free-throw line. Vanessa Chumacero scored four of her eight points in the final frame. Kelly Wightman had six points on three made baskets.

Samantha O’Connor finished with 15 points, five rebounds and a block, leading Dansville on the road. Colleen Metcalfe added 10 points and brought down five rebounds. Taylor Hamsher racked up nine points, six assists, five steals and four rebounds. Morgan Ball and Kassidy Cole both added eight points. Ball finished with five rebounds, two assists and two steals. Cole had seven rebounds and an assist. Allison O’Connor grabbed 10 rebounds and scored three points. Jaylynn Bridge chipped in seven rebounds and a pair of steals. For Campbell-Savona, Kali Maddock led with 10 points.

Taylor Hamilton dropped 15 points to go with four steals, leading Pittsford Sutherland into the Great Livonia Shootout Championship. Lucy Bush dished out eight assists and scored 13 points. Petra Hunt notched a double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing 12 boards. For Livonia, Molly Hitchcock led with a game-high 21 points.

MERCY (5-2) 62 (3 OT)
WATERLOO (2-1) 59

Laura Kosten scored six of her 12 points after regulation, as Mercy pulled out a win in a three-overtime thriller. Emerson Wandtke and Robin Jones both followed with 11 points. Wandtke scored six points in the extra quarters and grabbed 16 rebounds for a double-double. Allison Barone drilled three shots from beyond the arc and finished with 10 points. Bridget Wise chipped in nine points and brought down seven rebounds. Angelina Borrelli added six points in the overtime quarters. Josephine Webster made a three-pointer in the opening frame. For Waterloo, Gwyneth Panek led with a game-high 22 points. Panek scored 15 points in overtime and converted three shots from beyond the arc. Khia Moody followed with 11 points and netted three shots from deep. Delainey Battin added 10 points for the Tigers. Jonay Hawkins scored six points, while Tangel Williams had four.


CAL-MUM HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT

WHEATLAND-CHILI (4-2) 36
CALEDONIA-MUMFORD (2-5) 59

Olivia Amorese finished with a double-double, scoring 31 points alongside 12 rebounds to lead Caledonia-Mumford. Amorese also added four takeaways. Leigh Nickerson chipped in 20 points and brought down seven rebounds. For Wheatland-Chili, Vanessa Guerrero scored a team-high 11 points. Ashanti Caton and Whitney Thrush both tacked on eight points.

YORK (5-0) 76
ELBA (4-2) 43

Bree Parsons and Tessa Rodwell both poured in a career-high 29 points, paving the way for York in the Cal-Mum Holiday Tournament. Parsons added seven rebounds, six steals and five assists. Rodwell drilled seven jumpers form three-point ranger and chipped in six rebounds, four steals and an assist. Fiona Grant dropped 10 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out a pair of helpers. Gianna McClain had eight boards, three points, three takeaways and four assists. For Elba, Brynn Stackhouse led with 12 points. Brea Smith and Brooklyn Jachimowicz both followed with 10 points.


AVON CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT

WILLIAMSON/MARION (4-2) 36
BLOOMFIELD (3-1) 49

Calla McCombs dropped 18 points, powering Bloomfield in the Avon Christmas Tournament. Addison Falsone followed with 13 points, while Sydney Falsone scored eight. Sawyer Didas tacked on six points. Sadie Kachmaryk had four points. For Williamson/Marion, Ellie Alexander led with a team-high 14 points. Georgia Alexander chipped in seven points. Keira Robinson and Shasha Mulswayi added six points apiece. Lydia McKay had three points.

GENESEO (4-2) 36
AVON (4-3) 44

Maria Geary poured in 17 points, leading the way for Avon. Avery Boor followed with 10 points for the Riverhawks. For Geneseo, Olivia Bucci led with a game-high 18 points.


COLWELL CLASSIC

DUNDEE-BRADFORD (3-4) 26
ADDISON (4-2) 41

Caidyn Jones converted six times from the field, including a pair of three-pointers, totaling 14 points to lead Addison in the Colwell Classic. Marley Atherton followed with nine points, making four baskets inside the arc. Alyssa Symonds chipped in eight points on four made field goals. Khloe Snow added five points, while, Alivia Sullivan had three points. For Dundee-Bradford, Korrin Yeoman made three of her four baskets inside the arc for a team-high nine points. Marleigh Parker added six points. Carsen Larrison had four points. Riley Stinson made a three-pointer.
