Alex Grejda had 24 points by halftime as No. 24 NYSSWA Class AAA Fairport finished the half on an 8-0 run and took a 14-point lead into the break as the Red Raiders took down No. 11 Class A East. Zion Parson reached 1,000 career points for East after scoring his first basket of the game. Fairport has outscored their opponent by double digits in every game so far this season, with an average margin of victory of 24.6 points.

Gavin White had 20 points, seven rebounds and five steals to lead the Griffins to their second straight win and fourth in their last five games. Ja’yvion Sampson added eight points four assists and three steals. Mysaun White tacked on six points, 11 rebounds and two blocks in the win.

IRONDEQUOIT (5-0) 64

Roman Maldonado scored a game-high 21 to lead the Eagles to their third home win of the season and second win in a row by double digits. Leading 47-43 early in the fourth quarter, Jayden Patterson and Maldonado jump-started a 10-0 run for Irondequoit over 60 seconds by hitting back-to-back 3-pointers. Tahmaj Pope and Anthony Major turned two steals into layups. The Eagles outscored Edison Tech 17-2 over the final six minutes. Maldonado scored 15 of his 21 points in the second half. Major, Patterson and Josh Morse also got into double digits, notching 12, 11 and 10 respectively. Other scorers for the Eagles included Lincoln Johnston (1), Luke O’Brien (3), Maurice Clark (4) and Tahmaj Pope (2). Felix Vazquez led Edison with 17 points before fouling out midway through the 4th quarter. Javier Medina added 11. Other scorers included Royal Alexander (2), Aden Aden (2), Karron Mack (6), Izreal Ortiz (2) and Tyreese Redden (5).

EARLY COLLEGE (1-5) 35

Maddox Mannella scored seven of his game-high 22 points in the second quarter, knocking down a 3-pointer and going 2-for-3 from the line as Naples took a double-digit lead into halftime. Isaac Ward also got into double figures for the Big Green Machines, adding 13. Other scorers for Naples included Colin Kenney (9), Connor Betrus (6), Rowan Bigs (8) and Mykel Fleischman (2). Cincere Moxley-Studymine led Early College with 13 points. Other scorers included Tyrell Grant (4), Sam Washington (7), Dayvon Williams (3), Zion Shields (2) and Seh’maje Lester (6).

Grady Gilligan scored a team-high 21 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out five assists to lead Le Roy in the consolation game of the Greg Martin Tournament. Gilligan was named to the All-Tournament Team. Down 68-67 with 1:36 left in the fourth quarter, Le Roy scored the last nine points of the game as the Oatkan Knights won the third in their last four games. Gilligan was 4-for-4 from the line during the span. Brayden Chase added 18 points, knocking down four from distance, tacking on two rebounds and two steals for Le Roy. Matthew Hockey cashed in 12 points on two 3-pointers for the Oatkan Knights, adding four rebounds three assists and three steals. Aidan Weaver scored 12 for Le Roy, tacking on seven rebounds, four assists and six steals. Other scorers for Le Roy included Cole Tonzi (7) and Jagger Smith (6).

LETCHWORTH (1-5) 69
OAKFIELD-ALABAMA (2-3) 63

Brody Beachel scored 32 points to lead Letchworth as the Legends overcame a five-point deficit following the first quarter to pick up their first win of the season. Jaydin Wright added 15 points and Bryce Roche eight, with Wright adding four steals. Darren Abbott grabbed 11 rebounds for the Legends. Mason Watterson notched a team-high 26 points for Oakfield-Alabama, tacking on seven rebounds, three assists and two steals. Trevor Enes and Liam Gibson added 11 points each. Bryce Harkness had seven points and seven rebounds for the Hornets.
