Wednesday Girls’ Basketball Wrap: Daggett leads MW with 24 points; McCombs nets 21 in Bloomfield’s win

Darianna Weathers scored 18 of her game-high 29 points as East grabbed a 46-4 lead heading into halftime. Weathers connected nine times from the floor with three threes and six free throws. Semaj Jackson added a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double. Alani Montgomery pitched in 13 points. Madison Simmons (9), Imani Bowen (7), Tiyanna Martino (3), Layla Germany (3), Journe Caliz (2) and Ta’Majaha Lenear (2) each scored in the win. Jazmine Flowers topped Monroe with five points. Jonairys Cruz (3), Paola Molina (2) and La’Nyah Taylor-Lugo (1) all scored for Monroe.

ROCHESTER PREP (1-3) 17

Kiley Knittle led Charles G Finney scoring nine of her game-high 26 points in the first half as the Falcons grabbed a 26-6 lead heading into the locker room. Knittle added seven assists, five rebounds and 10 steals. Lucy Broome ended with 19 points and 11 steals for a double-double. Lainey Vargas finished with 16 points. Kate Frederickson pitched in nine points. Amelia McIntyre and Selah Danesi had two points apiece. Sydnei Davis connected on one free throw in the win. Aniyah Washington topped Rochester Prep with seven points. Nazari Sutton added six points. Mia Cleveland and Journey Lewis each had two points.

MARCUS WHITMAN (3-0) 49

Maddie Daggett accounted for 15 of her game-high 24 points in the second half as Marcus Whitman outscored Geneva 27-21 to grab the win. Daggett hit seven times from the field with one three and connected nine times from the charity stripe. Aliysiah Clark pitched in 18 points and six steals. Cecilia Conley added five points and Sophie Snyder had two in the win. Katelyn Good led Geneva with 11 points. Heaven Strongs pitched in 10 points. Carmela Mazzocchi (8), Sasheiry Rivera (5), Meghan Forbes (2) and Mariangely Saldana (2) each scored.

BLOOMFIELD (1-1) 48

Calla McCombs led Bloomfield with a game-high 21 points. Addison Falsone hit for 12 points. Sydney Falsone finished with eight points. Alina Hagen poured in four points. Trinity Forde hit a three-pointer in the win. Lauren Twist and Mia DeMink each topped Wayne with six points. Sydney Howard and Madalynn Shoemaker had two points apiece. Madison Herbst and Aidan Kovach each added one point.

Khia Moody topped Waterloo with a team-high 12 points. Gwyn Panek ended with 10 points. Addison Bree, Tangel Williams and Jonay Hawkins added seven points apiece. Olive Ditzell pitched in three points in the win.

Arizona Chapple led Newark with a game-high 14 points. Dri Smith ended with 10 points. Karina Natale added eight points and four assists. Khloe Paul (6), Martianna Chance (4), Sophia Delfs (2) and Maylee Miller (2) each scored in the win.

NORTH ROSE-WOLCOTT (0-4) 20

Avery Hoffman scored 11 of her game-high 17 points in the first quarter as Gananda jumped out to a 21-0 lead. Hoffman connected six times from the floor and five times from the free-throw line. Leah Buffan added eight points connecting twice from beyond the arc. Raegan Quigley (6), Jordyn Brice (5), Maggie McGarvey (4), Sam Dohse (4) and Emily Buffan (3) all scored in the win. Laryssa Moore topped North Rose-Wolcott with eight points. Olivia DeBoerdere and Bailey Formenek each added five points. Kyli Simonds hit for two points.

Bailey Caton led Le Roy with 11 points including two threes. Cora Weaver ended with eight points and Kylie Wilson pitched in seven points. Madison Paddock (5), Lilly Mackenzie (3) and Abigail Valdes (2) each scored in the win. Emma Tillotson topped Pavilion with 10 points. Charlotte Rudgers (4), Souly Coots (3), Haylee Cordes (2), Addy Harkins (2), Mia Gilkes (2), Natalie Niciporuk (2) and Mollie McMaster (2) all scored for Pavilion.

Alicia Wood topped Keshequa with a game-high 19-point, 12-rebound double-double. Braelyn Isaman ended with 17 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. Ryley Benner hit for 14 points. Raelyn Guldenschuh (8), Bree Benner (6), Riley Nageldinger (6), Quinn Powers (4) and Belle Rigney (2) each scored in the win. Sierra Whitney led Geneseo with 10 points. Paige Rossborough added nine points. Olivia Bucci (6), Madi LaDelpha (4), Taryn Rossborough (4) and Lily McBride (3) all scored for Geneseo.

Tessa Rodwell led York with a game-high 24 points, eight rebounds and eight steals. Bree Parsons hit for 16 points and six rebounds. Fiona Grant added 10 points and six rebounds. Leah Cuozzo (7), Gianna McClain (4), Tessa Goodell (4) and Zara Hopkins (3) all scored in the win. Maria Geary topped Avon with 10 points. Avery Boor ended with six points and Lauren Hill had five points.

Emma Wyant topped Perry with a team-high 15 points. Nellie Koronas ended with 12 points and eight rebounds. Astrid Bellamy hit for 11 points and five rebounds in the win. Olivia Amorese led Cal-Mum with a game-high 19 points. Ava McArdle and Leigh Nickerson each had six points. Shea Drazkowski finished with five points.

Annika Milillo led Letchworth with 16 points. Charity Scott added 14 points and eight steals. Sasha Bellamy pitched in 12 points. Maya Bellamy had 10 points and four steals. Kendall Jines (7), McKenna Krist (6), Lilly DeRock (5), Harper Bliss (5) and Gillian Kemp (2) each scored in the win. Kaylyn Ducks topped Warsaw with nine points. Izzy Carmichael ended with eight points. Maddi Schurr had five points.

Whitney Thrush topped Wheatland-Chili with 12 points and eight rebounds. Ashanti Caton pitched in nine points, nine rebounds and seven steals. Madison Pope added two points and eight rebounds. Alexa Robinson led Lyndonville with eight points.

Sofia Falleti led Notre Dame Batavia with a 28-point, 10-rebound double-double. Quinn Boardman ended with 11 points and six rebounds. Gianna Falleti and Shirley Thompson each added 10 points in the win.

Payton Bentley scored 14 of her game-high 18 points in the third quarter as Canisteo-Greenwood used a 22-8 advantage to take a 45-26 lead heading into the final frame. Bentley hit eight times from the field and twice from the free-throw line. Kara Mahany added 15 points with three threes. Gracen Mahany and Bailey Mullen each pitched in seven points. Paris May added six points. MacKenna Mullen and Addy Andrus each had two points in the win. Meyah Putnam led Avoca-Prattsburgh with nine points. Payton Hopkins finished with eight points. Evelyn Travis (6), Charlotte Peck (6), AJ McIntyre (5), D’Mariannah Hopkins-Pike (4) and Brooke VanSkiver (2) all scored for A-P.
