
Alexander Grejda and Chris Keller helped lead their squads to undefeated first-place divisional finishes. Ezra Gathercole paced all of Monroe County in goals on the season while Cash Rosado topped his team in goals and assists.
The four seniors were named Player of the Year for their respective divisions by the Monroe County Soccer coaches.
Grejda headed a lockdown Fairport defense all year long as the Red Raiders allowed four goals and recorded 10 shutouts in 14 contests. To go along with that, the senior posted four goals and one assist in the regular season with his biggest goal coming against Hilton in a 1-0 victory where Grejda netted the game-winner midway through the second half. His efforts helped lead Fairport to an undefeated regular season and the No. 1 seed in NYS Class AAA. Grejda also eventually led Fairport to its third straight Class AAA sectional championship and a trip to the state championship where the senior added two more goals in postseason play.
Joining Grejda on the Division I First Team include teammates Sean Griffin, Preston Richards, Justin Burton and Tim Donner. Griffin led Division I in goals scored with 12 and finished the year with 16. Cooper Nichols, Shawn Fisher and Devon Skirment earned honors out of Hilton while the Penfield trio of Mason Vallow, Dylan Zimmermann and Ryder Lucas were recognized as well. Santiago Cantillo-Barnum (Webster Schroeder), Zayden Patel (Rush-Henrietta) and Reid Strassner (Victor) all received first-team selections.

Keller led a Churchville-Chili squad that went undefeated in division play and only took one loss in the regular season – that to Class AAA top-seed Fairport. On the season Keller scored nine goals and added seven assists for a total of 25 points as the Saints finished with the top spot in Class AA with a 12-1-2 record. A couple of the senior’s best games include netting a hat trick and an assist in a 6-0 victory against Hilton and notching a three-assist outing in a 5-0 shutout over Gates Chili. Churchville-Chili eventually went on to win its second sectional title in three years where Keller contributed five more goals and one assist. The senior finished second in Division II with goals.
Joining Keller on the Division II First Team include the division leader in goals and fellow Saint Lucas Cariola with 12 goals in the regular season and 15 total. Teammates Mason Simmons and Isaac Bailey joined the team as well while Paolo Cancellieri, Michael Tette and Jaden Allen all earned selections out of Spencerport. Brighton’s Johnathan Phoummany, Alessandro Bosa and Henry Peters received first-team honors while the Webster Thomas duo of Charlie Petzing and Declan Lavyrnenko got nods as well. Nathaniel Jones (Irondequoit) and Tommy Dimaggio Jr. (Gates Chili) round out the squad.

Rosado led the Brockport Blue Devils to a 9-6-1 regular season record for fifth in Class AA. The senior notched nine goals and eight assists in the regular season for 26 points, the third most in Division III. Some of the senior’s highlights include the game-winning goal over Canandaigua on Sept. 6th and a double overtime game-winner against Irondequoit on Sept. 22. The senior eventually added three goals and two assists through three playoff games as Brockport made it all the way to the Class AA semifinals.
Joining Rosado on the Division III First Team includes fellow Blue Devil Aiden Fitzpatrick along with Colin Krohn, Ben Burrows, Evan Zavalo and Owen Davis of the 22-time sectional champions and winners of Monroe County Division III Pittsford Mendon. Max Morgenstern, Oliver Simmons and Joe Arikkat got nods out of Pittsford Sutherland while the Greece Arcadia trio of Bradon Owens, Vadym Leskiv and Justin Owens earned selections as well. Brandon Owens led all of Division III with 13 goals and 12 assists in the regular season for a total of 38 points. Landon Ambeau (Greece Athena) and Christopher Schuessler (Canandaigua) round out the first team.

Gathercole led all of Monroe County in regular season goals with 19 and added six assists to go along with it for 44 points, also leading Monroe County. The senior also led Honeoye Falls-Lima to an 8-6 regular season record for the No. 4 seed in Class A. Some of the senior’s best outings include a hat trick in a 5-0 victory over Eastridge, another hat trick in a 3-1 win against Batavia, an overtime game-winner against Wilson Magnet to cap off another three-goal outing and a second-half hat trick against Eastridge. Gathercole went on to add one more goal and assist during postseason play as the Cougars made it to the Class A semifinals, finishing with a total of 47 points.
Teammates Sam Jokl, Cade Merrill and Chase Pritchard join Gathercole on the Division IV First Team while Troy Hawley, Finn Halpin, Harry Mellander and Rylan Bohn earned selections from Batavia. The duo of Arnanh Douangdala and Gage Carlenius were recognized out of Greece Olympia while Eastridge’s Jack Hanley received an honor as well.
