CLASS AAA

Lucas Jamesson provided all the offense needed, and East Aurora boys’ soccer outlasted Pittsford Mendon, 1-0 in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Class A Far West Regional, Saturday at West Seneca West High School. READ MORE

CLASS B

HORNELL (17-1-2) 1
LAFAYETTE (18-2-1) 2
Issack Mema scored a pair of goals including the game winner with 14:19 remaining in regulation, and Lafayette International clinched a spot in the NYS Class B semifinals. Mema snapped a one-all tie with a right-footed blast from 25 yards out that he tucked under the bar for an upper-90 finish. Mema staked the Generals to a lead less than two minutes into the match. Wyatt Evingham connected on the equalizer for Hornell to level the match heading into halftime. Hornell had allowed five total goals in its previous 19 games and had not conceded more than one goal in a game yet this season. Lafayette will play Chenango Valley in the Class B semifinals.
