
For the second time in three years, Churchville-Chili and Clarence will meet in the NYS Far West Regional. Churchville will look to avenge the previous result. Here’s the breakdown:

How they arrived here: Top-seeded Churchville-Chili (No. 7 NYSSWA) kicked off its postseason with a 6-nil victory over No. 16 Victor. In the quarterfinals, the Saints edged out No. 8 Webster Schroeder 2-1 to advance to the semis where Churchville shutout No. 5 Brockport 6-0. The Saints went on win via shutout again in the sectional finals 2-0 over No. 6 Penfield. No. 1 Clarence (No. 4 NYSSWA) started its playoff campaign with a 6-0 shutout win against No. 8 Williamsville North in the quarterfinals. The Red Devils carried that momentum the rest of the playoffs as Clarence shutout No. 4 Niagara Wheatfield 4-0 in semis and No. 2 Williamsville East 2-0 in the championship.

Trends: Churchville-Chili enters the regional on a four-game win streak with three shutout victories, outscoring opponents 16-1 in that stretch. On the season, the Saints have 13 shutout victories and have allowed two goals or more twice. The Saints have also scored three or more goals on 11 different occasions this year. Churchville’s only loss on the season came at the hands of Class AAA No. 1 NYSSWA Fairport, 2-0.
Clarence rolls into the Far West Regional on a 16-game win streak with the Red Raiders last loss coming against Class AAA Section VI champs Lancaster on Sept. 4th, 2025. During the win streak, the Red Raiders have scored three or more goals on 11 different occasions and have allowed more than one goal once, outscoring its opponents 75-7. To go along with that, Clarence recorded 11 shoutouts in that stretch and have 12 on the season, with all three victories in the postseason coming via shutout as well.
Last time they met: Clarence defeated C-C, 3-0 in the 2023 state quarterfinals.

History 101: Churchville-Chili is making its second regional appearance in three years and third overall in program history. The Saints lost to Lewiston-Porter, 3-1 in the 1990 state quarterfinal. Clarence is coming off its 19th Section VI title and 12th in the past 19 years. The Red Devils advanced to the NYS Class AA championship game in 2024 and fell 2-1 to Garden City.
What’s at stake: A spot in the New York State Class AA semifinals against either Binghamton (IV) or Cornwall Central (IX).
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8th at West Seneca West High School.
