Wednesday Girls’ Soccer Wrap: Northstar advances on PKs; Sutherland and Aquinas each move onto Class A final

Ryan Smith ran on to a through ball from teammate Emily Peacock and slotted a shot far post for her 10th goal of the season. READ MORE.

NO. 3 CHURCHVILLE-CHILI (15-3-0) 2

Ava Fedele took a pass from teammate MacKenna McDowell inside the 18-yard box and lofted a shot just beyond the outstretched hands of Penfield keeper Caylyn Crane and under the crossbar for her sixth goal of the year. READ MORE.

CLASS A

NO. 5 BATAVIA (10-7-2) 1
NO. 1 AQUINAS (17-1-0) 6

Savannah Sweet and Sienna Fallone scored a goal apiece in the first half to stake Aquinas to an early as the Li’l Irish went on to clinch a spot in the Class A final. Sweet finished with four goals on the night. Fallone accounted for two scores. Samantha Marmo ended with three assists. Jaden Deming contributed an assist in the win. Briar Hinds made four saves. Aquinas will face Pittsford Sutherland in the championship game.

NO. 6 OUR LADY OF MERCY (9-10-0) 0
NO. 2 PITTSFORD SUTHERLAND (15-3-0) 3

Kate Pinto, Lucy Bush and Elizabeth Riley led Pittsford Sutherland with a goal apiece. Pinto and Bush each found the back of the net in the first half to grab a 2-0 lead going into halftime. Allyssa Hatch, Sarah Fields and Stella Livernash each dished out an assist. Sutherland will take on No. 1 Aquinas in the final on Saturday.

CLASS D

NO. 4 AVOCA-PRATTSBURGH (8-9-1) 0
NO. 1 FILLMORE (17-1-0) 5

Tenlee Miller led Fillmore with a brace and an assist. Miller netted the third goal of the first half after Morghyn Ross and Mattie McCumiskey scored to get a 3-0 lead heading into the half. Abby Earley scored a goal. Kallie Pastorius dished out three assists. Grace Walton contributed an assist in the win. Fillmore will face No. 3 Northstar Christian on Saturday in the final.

NO. 2 CHARLES G FINNEY (13-4-1) 0

Northstar advances on PKs 4-3. The Knights will take on No. 1 Fillmore in the finals on Saturday.
