Haverling and Hornell faced off in the 2024 Section V Class B Finals. Those two teams, since then, were reclassified into Class B1 following the Class B split, a division that featured three teams which won over ten games in the regular season, including top-seeded Penn Yan Academy. The Mustangs ended the regular season winning eight of its last nine games.

Haverling hopes to win its fifth title in six years after losing in the Class B finals against Hornell 2-1 a year ago. The Rams head into the postseason on a three-game win streak, and Livonia heads into the postseason on a seven-game win streak. Dansville is looking to get revenge against Livonia after losing both regular-season matchups by a combined score of 11-1.

First round action begins on Tuesday with Midlakes at Wayland-Cohocton battling it out for a chance to face Penn Yan Academy on Friday in the quarterfinals.
