
The 2025 Section V Class A Boys’ Soccer bracket consists of 12 teams: Five each from Monroe County and Finger Lakes East along with two sides from the Private-Parochial League. The tournament starts up with first round action on Tuesday, Oct. 21. The sectional final is scheduled for Halloween Night, Friday, Oct. 31.
Pittsford Mendon heads into the postseason with a 13-2 record, earning the Vikings the No. 1 seed and a first round bye. Pittsford Mendon looks to win the sectional title for the first time since since 2013 and 22nd in school history after falling in the championship last season. The Vikings only have one Class A lost on the season, in the last game of the regular season to No. 2 Pittsford Sutherland 1-0. Sutherland (10-5) rolls into the playoffs with victories in six of its last seven outings to earn a first round bye. In that stretch, the Knights have outscored opponents 13-5. The Knights aim to grab their 12th title in program history and first since going back-to-back in 2020-2021.
Batavia (10-4) enters as the third-seed and Honeoye Falls-Lima (8-6) comes in at the four-seed with first round byes. Batavia is in search for its first ever sectional title while Honeoye Falls-Lima looks for its first since 2016. Wayne (9-6-1) enters the postseason as the fifth-seed in search for its 11th title in school history and first since 1974. Sixth-seeded Newark (8-7-1) looks to make it to the sectional championship after falling 3-1 to Brockport in the semifinals last year. Geneva (8-8) heads into playoffs as the seventh-seed looking for its first sectional championship in school history.
