Three teams each from the Allegany County and Steuben County leagues along with one apiece from the Genesee Region, Livingston County Athletic Association and an Independent comprise the 2025 Section V Boys’ Soccer Class D2 bracket.
Avoca-Prattsbugh (10-5-1) and Lyndonville (9-7) are the top two seeds.
Avoca-Prattsburgh is seeking its first sectional title as a merged program. Avoca won D1 in 2018, while Lyndonville is aiming for the Tigers first title since 1986. Avoca-Prattsburgh enters sectionals with the best recent play, on a three-game unbeaten streak (two wins and a draw).
Rounding out the top four in Class D2 are Andover-Whitesville (9-7-0) and Mount Morris (6-9-1). Mount Morris enters the tournament 2-1-1 in its last four matches, including a win over Midlakes/Red Jacket.
The first round begins on Tuesday, Oct. 21, when Jasper-Troupsburg hosts Friendship-Scio for the right to play Avoca-Prattsburgh. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
