Thursday Boys’ Soccer Wrap: Ambeau’s hat trick powers Greece Athena; Arber scores twice, assists twice for Bloomfield

Karil Kiriiak scored off of a pass from Joshua Stephens for Greece Olympia. Connor Welker made nine saves for the Spartans.

CANANDAIGUA (6-10-0) 4
EASTRIDGE (6-9-1) 0
Stephen Chehata and Christian Schuessler each scored two goals and added an assist to help Canandaigua win its third straight game. Maison Irwin had an assist.

GREECE ATHENA (6-9-0) 5
BATAVIA (10-4-0) 3
Landon Ambeau had a hat trick including two first-half goals to help Greece Athena snap a three-game losing streak. Ambeau scored his first goal in the fourth minute off an assist from Isaiah Montanez. Then, in the 20th minute, Ambeau scored again, this time off an assist from Chase Paddock. Mordocher Musinguzi set up Ambeau’s third goal in the 46th minute. Montanez scored unassisted in the 62nd minute, and Jacob Basamon assisted Jaydon Terran in the 70th minute. John O’Herran made a dozen saves for the Trojans.

HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA (8-6-0) 1
Braedyn Nix and Brandon Owens each scored a goal in a 10-minute second-half span to help Greece Arcadia pick up its sixth straight win. Nicholas Pullano assisted on Nix’s goal in the 62nd minute before Brandon Owens scored what was ultimately the deciding goal in the 67th minute. Dominic Hall scored for Honeoye Falls-Lima, with Ezra Gathercole assisting. Hudson Reed had six saves.

Levi Hays and Michael Tette had a goal apiece to help Spencerport finish its regular season with a win. The Rangers ended their season on a three-game winning streak. Antonio Marsocci was in goal for the shutout.

Justin Burton scored the winner off a pass from Sean Griffin to help Fairport finish its regular season with a perfect record. Evan Furciniti had the shutout for the Red Raiders.

Lucas Cariola scored the first goal of the game for Churchville-Chili off an assist from Kyler Thomas before Caden Shager connected on the equalizer for Penfield in the 30th minute. In the second half, Chris Keller found the back of the net off an assist from Braedon Naujokas to give the Saints the lead back. In the 77th minute, Dallas Crawford scored for the Patriots to force overtime. Ryder Lucas had seven saves for Penfield, while Mason Simmons had three saves for Churchville-Chili.

Ayden Klapp scored off an assist from Jess Lyons for Midlakes/Red Jacket. Kidanny Serano had seven saves, while Maxwell Milliken had five saves.

Gavin Brown and Spencer Bolt each had goals and Zachary Shoop made a pair of saves to earn his eighth shutout of the season as Wayne won for the fourth time in five games.

Lucas Young and Sam Underhill each scored second half goals to help Newark earn a win on senior night. Jacob Graham picked up an assist on the Young goal, and Luke Taylor assisted on Underhill’s score.

Braydon Arber scored two goals and assisted on two goals to lead Bloomfield. Uriah Gumaer scored once and had an assist. Dagan Brewster, Logan Brouillard, Zachary Dunay, Cameron Mitchell, Grady Rogers, and McCoy Rogers each finished with one goal apiece. Devin Hagen had two assists. Sebby Williams turned in an assist.

Jake Kreiley posted a hat trick and assisted on another goal to help Dansville win for the second time in its past three games. Collin Wilson scored his first varsity goal. Sean Everett made nine saves for the Mustangs. Landon Wadsworth and Xander Mitchell each had an assist.

Doug Hale Jr. found the back of the net and had a pair of assists to lead Pembroke to its third win in its past four games. Will Gibson paired a goal with an assist. Spencer Kohl, Silas Calderon, Jacob Caskinette, Austin Post, and Hudson Strassberg also scored. Kohl made three saves in goal.
