Monday Boys’ Soccer Wrap: Grover strikes in double overtime for Perry; East Rochester’s McCann notches sixth straight clean sheet

IRONDEQUOIT (6-8-0) 2 (OT)

Alec Insalaco found the back of the net with seven minutes left in overtime, giving Irondequoit its second win in the last three games. Insalaco assisted on the Eagles’ first goal scored by Josue Kabata in the first half. Noah Fontaine picked up a helper on the game winner.

GATES CHILI (2-13-0) 3
BATAVIA (10-3-0) 1

For Batavia, Rylan Bohn netted the lone goal in the first half. Finn Halpin picked up the assist.

EASTRIDGE (6-8-1) 3
KESHEQUA (8-6-1) 2

For Keshequa, Kayden Rodrigues scored a pair, with Cameron Wood picking up the assists on both goals.

HORNELL (14-0-2) 10

Wyatt Evingham finished with a natural hat trick, as Hornell utilized eight different goal scorers. Evingham also dished out two assists. Anatole Colson added a goal and two assists. Gabriel Rasephei and Trent Vogel both scored and added a helper. Jayden Rasephei, Aquiles Souza, Marco Picco and Ryan Harkenrider all found the back of the net once. Cody Cardamone dished out a pair of helpers.

WAYNE (7-6-1) 1
HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA (8-5-0) 2

Ezra Gathercole struck twice in the first half, giving Honeoye Falls-Lima all the goal support it needed for a second straight win. Gathercole now has 19 goals on the season and leads Monroe County. Oliver Osterling and Samuel Jokl both picked up helpers for the Cougars.

PALMYRA-MACEDON (7-6-2) 0
EAST ROCHESTER (14-0-1) 8

Judah Tanner and Perry Francis combined for four goals, keeping East Rochester unbeaten. Francis netted a pair and added two assists, while Tanner scored twice. Sean Hogan dished out three helpers and found the back of the net once. Joseph Rountree and Sean Lewis both scored a goal and picked up an assist. Tristan Wollschleger scored once. Xander Boldt added an assist. Steven McCann recorded his sixth straight clean sheet.

PERRY (5-9-1) 1 (2 OT)
WHEATLAND-CHILI (0-13-1) 0

Jonathan Grover scored the golden goal on a feed from Nico Ricotta in double overtime to give Perry its second win in the last four games. The goal was Grover’s first of the season.
