Thursday Golf Wrap: Romero’s ace leads Palmyra-Macedon; Waterloo’s Mahoney garners medalist honors twice in three days

MYNDERSE (5-1 / 6-3) 210

Kellen Mahoney drained a pair of birdies, en route to medalist honors for Waterloo. Mahoney made birdie on the first and seventh holes, finishing with an even 35. Cayden Troup followed with a 36, making a birdie on the second hole. Evan Gasparro rained in a pair of birdies and shot a 37. Easton Rease and Grayden Guy both finished with 40s. Ryder Tam shot a 41. For Mynderse, Harrison Wirth led with a 37, making a birdie on seven. Brandt Schweitz followed with a 39. Josh Hutchins shot a 42, while Jackson Miller carded a 45.

GENEVA (5-7 / 3-4) 229
PALMYRA-MACEDON (9-2 / 6-1) 210
Ei-Ei Romero carded an ace on hole four, powering Palmyra-Macedon at Sycamore Golf Club. Brodie Wahl, Derek Leone and Logan Grapensteter all shot a 41 for the Red Raiders. For Geneva, Owen Loan led with a 40, making birdies on holes three and seven.

WEDNESDAY

MIDLAKES (5-3 / 5-5) 212

Cayden Troup finished with a 35, including a birdie on hole five to garner medalist honors for Waterloo. Kellen Mahoney followed with a 38 and made a birdie on hole nine. Ryder Tam added a birdie on five and carded a 40. Evan Gasparro also shot a 40. Grayden Guy had a 42, while Easton Rease carded a 43. For Midlakes, Kayden DeMarco and Liam Spinner both led with 38s. Cohen Egburtson tallied a 43. Zach DeCook finished with a 45.

THURSDAY

MIDLAKES (5-4 / 5-6) 229

Kellen Mahoney nailed a pair of birdies en route to a 38, garnering medalist honors for the second time in three days. Teammate Cayden Troup also shot a 38 to finish as a medalist. Evan Gasparro carded a 42, while Ryder Tam made a birdie and finished with a 44. Easton Rease shot a 45. For Midlakes, Danny Weegar led with a 38 and finished with co-medalist honors. Kayden DeMarco rained in a birdie and shot a 43. Liam Spooner recorded a 43.

MYNDERSE (6-1 / 7-3) 213
Kyle Dredger finished with a 36, leading Bloomfield to remain unbeaten. Dredger shared co-medalist honors with Mynderse’s Harrison Wirth. Joe Walsh followed Dredger with a 37. Kolton Knapp made birdie on hole two and carded a 38. Bowe Hawkins added a 39, while Harrison DeLong finished with a 42. For Mynderse, Brandt Schweitz followed Wirth with a 42. Josh Hutchins and Justyce McLean both carded 44s.
