Saturday Girls’ Soccer Wrap: Penn Yan’s Mullens scores five goals; Brauen wins it in 2OT for Attica

Savanna Biehler snapped a one-all tie early in the second half as Fairport erased an early deficit and won its third straight game. With the Red Raiders trailing, Biehler converted a penalty kick to level the match. Addison Tally made eight saves in the win. Eliana Biehler assisted on the second Fairport goal. Penfield’s Sophia Puccia scored on a direct kick to give the Patriots a 1-nil lead less than 10 minutes into the match.

Ava Kruger scored the lone goal of the game with three minutes left in regulation. The goal was scored off of a corner kick from Allie Starwald.

BROCKPORT (5-2-0) 4
A pair of Ava Ingraham second-half goals sealed the win for Brockport. Lauren Cooling started the scoring in the second minute with an assist from Allison Cole. Giavanna Saeva scored a goal assisted by Brea DeCoste. Molly McJury also tallied an assist

PITTSFORD MENDON (6-2-0) 8
Lily Larimer registered two goals and two assists as Mendon won back-to-back games. Jaelyn Rodi also recorded a pair of goals. Ella VanPutte, Lyla Ellicott and Brinley Schreib tallied a goal and an assist apiece. Corynn Deckman also scored with an assist from Ella Pickels. Mikaela Lloyd accounted for an assist in the win. Rachel Hiller made seven saves in the win.

Sienna Fallone tallied two goals and an assist to lead Aquinas. Julianna Shannon and Jaden Deming both scored a pair of goals. Bella Muratore registered three assists. Samantha Marmo and Savannah Sweet also found the back of the net. Elizabeth Valentino added an assist.

MYNDERSE (4-0-2) 3
Kyah Lajewski recorded a goal and an assist at home to lead Mynderse. Danielle McDermott gave the Blue Devils the lead late in the first half. Haley Young padded the lead in the second half on a goal assisted by Luciana Ferrara. Grace Poole made three saves en route to the shutout.

Attica’s Aleah Brauen scored the winning goal 35 seconds into double overtime. Blakely Pratt connected on two first-half goals and assisted on Madelyn Saxton’s tally in the second half. Lauren Nelson also registered an assist. Saxton had an assist on Brauen’s game winner. Warsaw’s Kaitlyn Treutlein finished with two goals and an assist. Emily Klump also scored for the Tigers.

Vanessa Guerrero scored Wheatland Chili’s lone goal in the first half. Wildcats goalkeeper Keira Nash registered seven saves. Ava Mosier leveled the match for Holley with a second-half score.

PENN YAN ACADEMY (6-1-0) 8
Makenna Mullens scored five goals and tallied an assist as Penn Yan rebounded from its only loss of the season. Mary D’Abbracci started the scoring in the first half. Piper Caster and Miley Andersen also registered goals of their own for the Mustangs. Lila Hansen had two assists, while Ruby Berry, Gracelynn Lewis, and Nina Relt had an assist apiece.

Lauren Schmeelk netted a hat trick at home to lead Williamson to back-to-back wins. On top of the hat trick, Schmeelk also recorded two assists. Halle Verbridge started the scoring with a goal assisted by Jocelynn Carpenter. Madyson Storey and Sarah Niles both scored second-half goals to increase the lead. Haedan Wing, Natalie Schmeelk, and Natalie Karasinski all tallied an assist. Katherine Kuhl made four saves for the shutout.

Madeline Hurlburt made seven saves in goal for Dansville.

Isabella Hayes tallied a pair of goals to lift Palmyra Macedon. Teagan Hudak netted a second-half goal, assisted by Claire Nolan. Zooey Graham recorded an assist of her own.
