Thursday Section V Golf Wrap: Mynderse’s Schweitz garners medalist honors twice in as many days; Hagan fires a one-under 34 for Palmyra-Macedon

MONDAY
PALMYRA-MACEDON (7-2 / 4-1) 196
WATERLOO (5-2 / 3-2) 205

Joey Hagan carded a one-under 34, paving the way for Palmyra-Macedon. Hagan drained birdies on holes four and five. JJ Tome followed with a 39, including a birdie on hole seven. Bishop Ramage and Derek Leone both posted 40. Brodie Wahl finished with a 43. For Waterloo, Cayden Troup made a birdie on seven and finished with a 39. Kellen Mahoney also carded a 39. Evan Gasparro finished with a 41, while Grayden Guy shot a 42. Guy made a birdie on hole four. Ryder Tam rounded out the team with a 44.

MYNDERSE (1-4 / 1-4) 226
HAC (3-1 / 4-2 261

Brandt Schweitz carded a one-over 37, draining three birdies to take home medalist honors for Mynderse. Harrison Wirth followed with a 41, while Justyce McLean carded a 46. For HAC, Jennie Pao and Kavin Natarajan both shot a 46.

WEDNESDAY
RED JACKET (0-7 / 0-7) 263
MYNDERSE (5-1 / 6-2) 227

Brandt Schweitz carded a 40, taking home medalist honors for the second-straight day for Mynderse. Harrison Wirth followed with a 44, while Josh Hutchins posted a 45. For Red Jacket, Ashton Trapp shot the low round of 47.

GENEVA (3-3 / 4-6) 240
WAYNE (5-1 / 5-2) 231

Carter Wiggins birdied the opening hole and finished with a 43, leading Wayne at Ontario Golf Club. Brady Flynn followed with a pair of birdies and carded a 45. Emmett Haak drained a birdie on five and posted a 46. For Geneva, Matt Bucklin shot the low round of 45. Cayden Urbano followed with a 46.

NAPLES 220
BLOOMFIELD 206

Kolton Knapp made a birdie on seven and finished with a 36 to lead Bloomfield to an 8-0 overall record. Knapp garnered medalist honors. Joe Walsh and Kyle Dredger both carded 41s. Walsh opened his round with a birdie at the first. Harrison DeLong shot a 42.

PENN YAN (1-6 / 2-7) 230
WATERLOO (4-2 / 6-2) 197
Kellen Mahoney shot the low round of 38 for the day, taking home medalist honors for Waterloo. Cayden Troup poured in a birdie on two and shot a 39. Ryder Tam also carded a 39. Easton Rease shot a 40. Evan Gasparro and Grayden Guy both carded 41s. Guy made a birdie on five. For Penn Yan, Jaxon Jensen finished with a 43. Josh Morse and Brody Lewis both shot 44s.

THURSDAY
BLOOMFIELD 217 (6-0 / 9-0)
HAC 248 (1-5 / 1-5)

Joe Walsh finished with a four-over 40, taking home medalist honors and leading Bloomfield. Harrison DeLong followed with a 42. Kolton Knapp and Kyle Dredger both carded a 44. For HAC, Jennie Pao finished with a 43.
