Former All-Greater Rochester basketball player Vaughn Boler has been named the new Varsity Girls’ Basketball Head Coach at Padilla High School at Franklin Campus.
After three years of helping to rebuild the boys’ basketball program at Franklin, Boler is returning to where his coaching career began — on the girls’ side.
Boler started coaching in 2019 at Greece Olympia, serving as the JV and modified girls’ head coach, where he helped players reach their full potential and build a strong foundation for the program.
This will be Boler’s first experience as a varsity head coach. He becomes the third coach in the last four years for the Padilla Girls’ Basketball program. In addition to his new role, Boler is currently the Padilla High School at Franklin Boys’ Volleyball head coach. He has been working with the Jr. Knicks camps this summer as a youth coach.
Boler hopes to establish a consistent culture built on hard work, excellence, and academic achievement — developing well-rounded student-athletes both on and off the court.
Boler scored 1,125 career points during a three-year varsity career at Pittsford Mendon from 2009-2012.
Is he Tony Boler’s brother?
