Wes Stirrup went 2-for-4 with two singles and two RBI as Greece Post 468 (22-5) won its second game of the 2025 American Legion Northeast Regional tournament with a 14-0 five-inning win over Bedford Post 54 (New Hampshire).
Stirrup roped a two-out RBI-single in the first to cap off a three-run inning as Greece Post jumped out to a 3-0 early lead.
Derrick Allen, Nate Brinza and Jake Higgins all had one hit and two RBI. Tyler Cannon and Cam Barbulean each added a hit and an RBI with Colden Forney adding two hits.
Jack Kelly and Michael Calogero each pitched in the game with Kelly going 3.2 innings with five strikeouts and Calogero earning the win, throwing 1.1 innings with two strikeouts.
Allen connected on a two-RBI single to make it a 5-0 game in the second inning. Greece Post went scoreless in the third inning.
Greece Post had a seven-run fourth inning with all of the runs being unearned. Barbulean reached on an error and drove a runner in and Peter Clark scored off a throwing error to make it 7-0. Cannon had a single to score Allen with Barbulean scoring off a throwing error and Cannon came all the way around the bases on errors to make it 10-0. Higgins ended the scoring in the inning with a two-out two-RBI single to take a 12-0 lead heading into the bottom of the fourth.
Stirrup had his second RBI-single in the fifth and Cannon scored on a passed ball to make it a 14-0 game which would be the final score.
Greece Post will play St. Johnsbury Post 58 (Vermont) on Friday in the next round of the double-elimination tournament in a doubleheader. First pitch is TBD. Fans can follow the action here.
