Tyler Estelle finished 2-for-4 including an RBI double to highlight a five-run second inning as Cottreall-Warner Post rebounded from Tuesday’s loss to force a deciding Game 3 in the American Legion District 7 semifinals. Estelle plated Nick Rene with the third run of the inning, and Cottreall-Warner eventually sent 10 batters to the plate. Estelle crossed home three times in the win. Jake DiCicco struck out three, went the distance and allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks to pick up a win in the mercy-rule shortened affair. Sam Nick went 2-2 with a double, two walks, two RBI and three runs scored. Alex Grejda and Owen Andreatta also had two hits and two RBI apiece. Andreatta doubled and scored once. Grejda walked and scored twice. Rene was 1-3 with a walk and two runs scored. Garrett McNeil was 1-3 with two RBI. Pete Hoffmann singled and drove in a run. Ely Fagan’s Austin Yageric was 2-3 with two RBI and a run scored. Gio Stewart tripled and drove in a run. Joel Thomas and Caden Richards both singled and scored once. Game 3 of the series is scheduled for a 6 p.m. first pitch Thursday at Webster Thomas High School.

Aaron Reina connected on a two-run home run as part of a two-out rally, and Chili Post evened the American Legion District 7 semifinals. Reina, who doubled earlier in the game, drove in Alex Spezzano with his first home run of the season. With the game tied at eight in the eighth, Jayden Jager sparked Chili Post with a one-out single. After Bobby Rule Jr. moved the runner into scoring position with a sacrifice bunt, Spezzano delivered the go-ahead run with a base hit. On the mound, Rule retired all five batters he faced to pick up the win. The Churchville-Chili Saint entered the game with bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the seventh and struck out the first batter he faced before getting a ground out to end the threat. He allowed one ball out of the infield. Spezzano finished 2-for-5 at the plate. Jager was 3-4 with an RBI and two runs scored out of the nine-hole. Lucas Karelus was 2-3 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored. Josh Miner singled twice and drove in a run. Parker Farnham collected a base hit, RBI and a run scored. Greece Post’s Tyler Cannon was 2-5 and drove in Derrick Allen with a two-out double to tie the game in the sixth and eventually force extra innings. Allen was 2-4 with a double, walk, two RBI and two runs scored. Cam Barbulean tripled and doubled as part of a 2-4 effort with two RBI and a run scored. Colden Forney was 2-3 with a triple, walk and a run scored. Nate Brinza and Mason Davey had a double apiece. Dylan Savage went 2-3 with an RBI and run scored. First pitch of Game 3 is scheduled for 6 p.m., Thursday at Greece Arcadia.
