Jack Kelly struck out five and allowed one run on seven hits with three walks over seven innings to earn the win on the mound and lead Greece Post to a win in Game 1 of the best-of-three series. The District 7 on-base and slugging percentage leader Tyler Cannon hit a three-run homer in the first inning to give Greece Post a 3-0 lead it did not surrender. With the homer, Cannon now has four on the season to lead all of District 7. Derrick Allen led the offensive charge with two hits and a run scored while Nate Brinza and Wes Sturrup both singled and crossed home plate once. Colden Forney, Tré Walker and Mason Davey all tallied a hit apiece. Dylan Savage hit a sacrifice bunt in the fourth inning to drive in Greece’s final run of the day. For Chili Post, Jamie Derleth went 2-for-3 with a single and a double while Bobby Rule Jr hit an RBI-single to drive in Derleth in the fifth inning for the lone run of the game. Aaron Reina, Alex Spezzano, Parker Farnham, and AJ Cerretto all notched a hit on the day as well. The win, was the seventh straight for Greece Post.

Tied 3-3 in the top of the tenth, Gio Stewart grounded into a fielder’s choice to drive in Austin Yageric to grab the lead while Jacob Sova followed with an RBI-single that drove in Stewart as Ely Fagan Post grabbed a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three semifinal series. Sova finished the day with one hit and two runs batted in with the other RBI coming on a ground out in the top of the fifth to tie the game at three apiece. Joel Thomas hurled 3.1 scoreless relief innings of one-hit ball with three strikeouts and four walks to notch the win on the mound. Thomas also singled on the day. Yageric tripled, driving in a run in the first inning to put Ely Fagan on the board first and crossed home plate twice while Caiden Richards collected a hit and two runs. Mason Phillips tripled and Landon Brown singled. For Cottreal-Warner Post, Sam Nick led the way with an RBI-single and a run scored while Dylan Dumont and Max Caron both singled, scoring a run apiece. Tyler Estelle recorded a single and two runs while Nick Rene followed with a hit and a run. Alex Grejda and Drew Gropp both added a hit apiece. The win was the third straight for Ely Fagan Post.
