Friday American Legion Wrap: Dumont punches out 15 to lead Cottreall-Warner Post; Vorrasi, Edelstein top Rayson Miller Post

FERRIS GOODRIDGE POST 330 (1-4) 0

Dylan Dumont struck out 15 and allowed two hits in a complete game effort to earn the win on the mound for Cottreall-Warner Post. Dumont also finished 3-for-4 with a stolen base, one RBI and one run scored. Alex Grejda went 2-2 with two walks, three stolen bases, and three runs scored. Sam Nick singled to go with a sacrifice fly, two stolen bases and two runs scored. Drew Gropp singled and recorded a walk and two RBI. Garrett McNeil recorded an RBI single and a stolen base. Jack Lander and Bailey Zambuto each led Ferris Goodridge Post with a hit.

RAYSON MILLER POST 899 (2-2) 8
JAMES COOKE POST 931 (3-1) 3

Max Vorrasi finished 2-for-3 with a walk, two RBI and one run scored to help Rayson Miller Post win back-to-back games. Jack Edelstein also finished 2-3 adding a stolen base, one RBI and two runs scored. Grady Hopkin doubled and ended with a stolen base and three runs scored. Jimmy Cook singled and recorded a team-high three RBI. Will McCarthy finished with an RBI single. John Pierson struck out four and allowed three runs (two earned) in a complete game effort to earn a win on the mound. Josh Pearson and Paul Byrne each notched one run scored. Nick Kriegelstein led James Cooke Post going 2-3 with a walk. Alex Long tacked on an RBI single. Both John Swartz and Matty Eygabroad finished with a single and an RBI walk. Andrew Stagnitto and Peyton Ridley each ended with a single and one run scored. Chris Pearles finished with one run scored. Chris Swackhamer (1) and Grady Kessler (1) rounded out the hitting for James Cooke Post.
