Castle Packs Power Thursday Softball Wrap: Miller and Fillmore rally to clinch spot in D championship; Siembor pushes Eastridge to win

CLASS AAA

No. 4 GREECE STORM (8-14) 13
No. 1 PADILLA (10-7) 0

Allison Sywulski struck out 10, and Greece advanced to the Class AAA championship. Sywulski added two hits and a triple at the plate. Brooke Bassett added a hit and two RBI. Ashlyn Bebout, Juliana Bates and Madyson Hewitt each ended with one hit and one RBI. Jenelle Staples added two hits. Madeline Ewanow contributed one RBI. Greece will face Rush-Henrietta in the Class AAA sectional final on Saturday.

No. 3 FAIRPORT (8-13) 1
No. 2 RUSH-HENRIETTA (13-8) 5

Audrey Gleghorn and Kadyn Hartel each led Rush-Henrietta with three hits including two doubles and two RBI as the Royal Comets clinched a spot in the AAA championship. Hartel earned the win in the circle with four strikeouts. Lizzie Rinella and Elizabeth Brown each added a hit. Alaina Nunez and Quinnleigh Yeakel each topped Fairport with two hits. Allison Runke, Waverly Milliman, Annabella Clark, Julia Barry and Brylee McDonell each added a single. R-H will face Greece in the AAA final on Saturday.

CLASS AA

No. 5 BISHOP KEARNEY (11-4) 0
No. 1 WEBSTER SCHROEDER (19-1) 3

Liana DeValder struck out 10 and hurled a one-hitter as reigning Class AA champion, Webster Schroeder secured a spot in the AA championship. DeValder had two hits at the plate. Emma Juliano added an RBI-single in the bottom of fourth to grab a 1-0 lead. Hannah Colicchio and Kyara Murphy each contributed an RBI off walks. Sara Skripnik topped Bishop Kearney with a double. Webster Schroeder will face Webster Thomas in a rematch of the 2024 final.

No. 3 WEBSTER THOMAS (17-6) 7
No. 2 PENFIELD (17-6) 0

Ella Griffin and Emma Maloney each topped Webster Thomas with a single and two RBI as the Titans clinched a spot in the AA final. Molly Sweeney added two hits and an RBI. Ruby Marrapese and Rachel Wlodarczyk each pitched in a hit and an RBI. Ella Maloney finished with two hits including a double. Olivia Constantino and Emily Ford each had a single in the win. Olivia Bowers earned the win in the circle hurling a complete game two-hitter. The senior struck out four batters and reached the 100-strike out plateau for the season. Stephanie Coughlin and Ella Maley each had a single for Penfield.

CLASS A

No. 5 HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA (10-10) 1
No. 1 PITTSFORD SUTHERLAND (19-2) 16

Caralynn Orlando topped Pittsford Sutherland going 2-for-4 including a home run, a double and five RBI as Sutherland, the reigning champion in Class A, sealed a return to the Class A title game. Katie Sarr ended with three hits with two RBI. Alexandra Sippel went 2-2 with two RBI and a double. Mandy Meyers added a single, two RBI and earned the win hurling in four strikeouts in five innings. Gabrielle Lyons finished with four hits and one RBI. Julia Devaney, Ella Devaney and Emma Hollenbeck each had a hit in the win. Alysa Richards, Brooke Gruschow, Abbi Maylin and Genesis Leathersich each led HF-L with one hit. Pittsford Sutherland and Eastridge will face each other in the championship game.

No. 3 OUR LADY OF MERCY (13-8) 7
No. 2 EASTRIDGE (13-7) 8

Marley Siembor led Eastridge going 2-for-4 with four RBI including a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth to give the Lancers an 8-7 lead. Trailing 7-6 entering the sixth, Chloe Welch led off the inning getting hit by a pitch and two batters later Emma Johnson doubled to put runners on second and third. Siembor followed Johnson with a double of her own to grab the lead. Johnson had two hits and two RBI. TT Green ended with two hits and an RBI. Harper Keuhne had a single and one RBI. Jalissa Crittenden and Taylor Schmidt had one hit each in the win. Leah Sperry topped Our Lady of Mercy with two hits including a triple and three RBI. Annika VanDamme pitched in two hits and two RBI. Maddie Oleksyn had two hits and one RBI. Kate Abbamonte added three hits. Lillian Seiffert and Brenna Ray each had two singles. Rowan Hennessy contributed a hit. With the win, Eastridge clinched a spot in the Class A final.

CLASS B1

No. 3 WATERLOO (12-9) 0
No. 1 HAVERLING (18-3) 18

Kaili Witherell topped Haverling with a complete game in the circle hurling in 11 strikeouts to win the Section V Class B1 Championship. Witherell added two hits at the plate. Lane Prescott had a grand slam in the second inning. Caydence Spears added a double, a single and three RBI. Kas Plewa was 3- 3 with three RBI. Ryleigh Laverty was 2-for-3 with two RBI in the win. No. 3 AVON (15-4) 1
No. 1 WELLSVILLE (19-2) 2

Kennedy Perry led Wellsville with an RBI-double in the sixth to give the Lions a 2-1 lead and win the Section V Class B2 championship. Entering the sixth tied 1-1, Makenna Dunbar hit a lead-off double and two batters later Perry drove Dunbar in to seal the game. Dunbar hurled a complete-game with 11 strikeouts in the circle. Lindsay Stuck and Hailey Cowburn each added a single in the win. Jessie Crye, Abby Schutz, Kyleigh DeRider and Violet Phillips each had a hit for Avon. Crye had six strikeouts in the circle. CLASS C1

No. 4 CALEDONIA-MUMFORD (16-5) 1
No. 1 BLOOMFIELD (19-1) 8

Ashlyn Wright led Bloomfield hurling a complete-game one-hitter with 16 strikeouts, and the reigning champion Bombers secured a return to the Class C1 title game. Wright added a double and a single with two RBI at the plate. Brianna Leitten ended with two hits and two RBI. Celia Falsone pitched in a hit and two RBI. Sydney Falsone pitched in three hits. Sawyer Gallup ended with two singles. Addison Falsone, Calla McCombs and Abby O’Brien each added a hit in the win. Mia Wilson topped Cal-Mum with a hit. Kylie Padlick-Field contributed one RBI. Bloomfield will take on Warsaw in the C1 Championship.

No. 11 WARSAW (8-11) 10
No. 2 LYONS (20-2) 3

Madalyn Schurr topped Warsaw with two hits and one RBI as the Tigers advanced to the Class C1 championship game. Tanzie Keough finished with one hit and two RBI. Zoe Kaminski had a triple. Kaitlyn Treutlein and Aliyah Higgins each ended with a single. Kendra Beldon pitched in an RBI. Olivia Parker earned the win in the circle with four strikeouts. Addison VanLare led Lyons with a triple and two RBI. Baylei Reed added one hit and an RBI. Rylee Richardson, Jayla Bell and Peyton Bonnell each had two hits. Keira Weber, Kamryn Bonnell and Elise Wilkinson each contributed a hit. Warsaw will face reigning champion, Bloomfield, in the final.

CLASS C2

No. 3 GENESEE VALLEY-BELFAST (18-5) 0
No. 2 OAKFIELD-ALABAMA (17-2) 9

Savanna Durham led Oakfield-Alabama in the circle hurling a complete game with 15 strikeouts as the Hornets clinched a spot in the Class C2 championship game. Durham added one hit at the plate. Allison Williams and Raine Denny each had two hits and three RBI to power an offense that scored five runs in the third and added three more in the fourth. Chloe Lamb pitched in a hit and an RBI. Piper Hyde ended with three hits. Rylee Denny contributed a hit in the win.

CLASS D

No. 4 FILLMORE (16-4) 2
No. 1 LYNDONVILLE (19-3) 1

Mylee Miller led Fillmore going 2-for-3 with two RBI including the go-ahead RBI-single in the third as the Eagles clinched a spot in the Class D championship game.. Miller hurled a complete game in the circle allowing three hits and striking out nine batters. Mattie McCumiskey added two hits. Summer Friedl and Chloe Hennard each had a hit in the win. Arnie Sturtevant, Hannah Fox and Alexa Robinson each had a hit to top Lyndonville. Fillmore will face Keshequa in the Class D final.

No. 3 KESHEQUA (15-3) 9
No. 2 AVOCA-PRATTSBURGH (17-3) 6

Skylar Rease topped Keshequa going 2-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI as the Wildcats clinched a spot in the Class D championship. Isabella Hugi added two hits and three RBI. Bree Benner ended 2-3 with one RBI. Lilly Hugi had a hit and one RBI. Reagan Moroz and Emma Jo Pierce each had a hit in the win. Payton Hopkins led Avoca-Prattsburgh with two hits and two RBI. Alydia McIntyre had a hit and two RBI. Elise Harrell pitched in a hit and an RBI. Meyah Putnam ended with two hits. Isabelle Button and Brooke VanSkiver each had a hit. Keshequa will face Fillmore in the Class D final.
