CLASS AA

NO. 12 BRIGHTON (4-16) 4
NO. 5 BISHOP KEARNEY (10-3) 6
Claire Spears went 3-for-3 including a double and triple as Bishop Kearney won its first round game. Carmella Phelan earned the win, striking out five. Allie Decker and Morgan Walton each drove in two runs, while Miami Jones notched two hits. Maddie Marchiole had two hits and drove in two for Brighton, while Luci Rozzi and Gabby Glanville each had two hits as well. Bishop Kearney faces Spencerport on Saturday in the quarterfinal round.

Isobel Law had a two-hit, three strikeout performance in the circle while the Victor offense scored runs in all but one of the innings played to move on to the quarterfinals round. All but one of the Victor lineup had a hit and drove in a run, with Kenadee Comstock doubling twice and driving in three. Mackenzie Visingard had three hits and brought home two, while Ryleigh Fontana triples and recorded an RBI. Kennedy Chizuk hit safely twice and brought in a run. Audrey Steinorth, Alexah Loeser, and Kaylee Lenhard had a hit and an RBI. Hannah Carpenter had Brockport’s two hits. Victor faces Penfield on Saturday in a quarterfinal matchup.

CLASS A

NO. 11 NEWARK (7-14) 2
NO. 6 PITTSFORD MENDON (10-11) 14
A seven-run sixth led to an early end as Jillian Wexler spearheaded the Pittsford Mendon offense with a 3-for-4, six RBI night. The senior doubled and scored a run herself in the game. Alexandra Van Ginhoven singled twice and drove in two runs, while Felicity Knapp hit safely twice, drove in three runs, and scored three runs. Isabella Stradley also recorded an RBI. Madeline Fallows also singled. In the circle, Quinn Sargent went six innings, allowing six hits and one earned run while striking out seven. Gretchen Crawford had two hits for Newark, driving in one. Jessica Brown drove in the other run. Sophia Delfs, Karina Natale, Martianna Chance, and Kendall Carr rounded out the hit column for Brighton. Pittsford Mendon meets Our Lady of Mercy in the quarterfinal round next Tuesday.

Arianna Almekinder set a new Batavia single-season strikeout record, passing the 162 strikeout mark before ending the game with 167. Almekinder allowed one hit and struck out 12 to earn the win, while Gabby Smith led the Blue Devils offense with a 3-for-4 game, tripling and notching five RBI. Hannah Carney also went 3-for-4, doubling and recording an RBI. Kyleigh Kabel had a 2-for-4 game with three RBI. Drew Stevens tripled, while Libby Grazeoplene had a double. Grayson Harris doubled for Geneva. Batavia travels to Eastridge next Tuesday for a quarterfinal game.

A six-run first gave Palmyra-Macedon an early lead it never gave up in the first round win. Addison Gendron, Seager Emerick, and Emmalynne Bedette all had two hits and an RBI, while Emerick allowed three hits and struck out 10 from the circle. Bedette also doubled. Elianna Rouland (2) and Briana VanHaneghan (1) rounded out the hit column for Palmyra-Macedon, while Jillian Anthony drove in a run. Zoe Eaton, Jesse Newmyer, and Savannah Celso had Wayne’s hits, with Eaton’s being a double. Palmyra-Macedon advances to next Tuesday’s quarterfinal game with Pittsford Sutherland.

CLASS C1

NO. 2 LYONS (19-1) 14
Rylee Richardson threw a five-inning no-hitter and struck out 11 to send Lyons to the quarterfinals. Richardson also singled, walked twice, stole two bags, and scored twice. Baylei Reed doubled twice and drove in two, while Addison VanLare and Rieley Cermak both recorded two RBI. Elise Wilkinson singled, drove in a run, and scored twice. Jayla Bell, Natalie Bell, and Kamryn Bonnell all had an RBI each. Braelynn Ahern and Brianna Bouwens both walked twice for Williamson. Lyons faces the winner of Saturday’s game between South Seneca/Romulus and Canisteo-Greenwood next Tuesday in the quarterfinal round.

Geneseo’s Adelyn McDonald threw a no-hitter and struck out 11, allowing only one runner (a passed-ball strikeout in the third inning) over five innings to send the Blue Devils to the quarterfinals. Paige Rossborough, Kendal Bennett, Ganelli Rodriguez, and Kylie Wall all singled for Geneseo, with Rodriguez and Wall driving in runs. Emily Metz and Emma Conklin both drove in two runs, while Heather Wright added another. Kylee Dann was the lone baserunner for Holley, and also stole a bag. Geneseo faces

Grace Beach pitched a two-hit shutout, striking out 10 while going 2-for-2 with five RBI at the plate as Caledonia-Mumford won its 11th straight and advanced to the quarterfinals round. Colleen Talty scored four times and recorded her 100th career hit. Shea Drazkowski, Kate McCowan, and Audrey Padlick-Field all had two hits, with Drazkowski driving in four and Padlick-Field plating three. Emma Wyskiel and Bri Lynn both scored three runs. Caledonia-Mumford hosts Byron-Bergen next Tuesday in a quarterfinal game.

A two-run single from Camille Campbell walked it off to send Pembroke to the Class C1 quarterfinals. Jayden Hootman earned the win for the Dragons, allowing two hits and a run over seven innings while striking out eight. Sophia Gorski, Taylor Bischoff, Reagan Schneider, and Juliana Cleveland all had a hit on the night, with Bischoff and Schneider’s being doubles. Grace Mitchell had two singles and an RBI for Letchworth. Alexis Mitchell, Charity Scott, and Izzy Bacon also singled. Bacon allowed four hits from the circle, striking out three. Pembroke faces Bloomfield in a quarterfinal matchup next Tuesday.

Rylee Whiting struck out 10 while allowing two hits as Bolivar-Richburg advanced to the quarterfinals round. Whiting also hit two doubles at the plate. Summer Beckwith tripled in three runs in the fifth. Cassidy Stives, Jayna Thomas, and Danika Loucks all had two hits. Zanyah Yisrael hit a triple for Perry, while Madi Monteleone doubled. Bolivar-Richburg faces Kendall in a quarterfinal game next Tuesday.

A game-tying double from Izzy D’Agostino and a bases-loaded triple from Brooke Rodas propelled Kendall to a first round win. Teagan Shaw led Kendall with a 3-for-3 game, doubling, walking, stealing two bases, and driving in two. Maggie Zastrow singled in two runs. Inez Stangler singled in two RBI and got the win in the circle for Kendall. CC Biondo was 3-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, and two runs scored for York, while Jordan Ray drove in three and scored once. Ariana Roessel tripled, drove in a run, and scored a run. Felicity Grant doubled and brought home two runs. Faith Layland, Maddy Ezard, Kali Jaroszek, and Erin Knapp also scored runs for York. Kendall faces Bolivar-Richburg next Tuesday for a quarterfinal faceoff.

Alydia McIntyre had two hits and drove in four at the plate while striking out nine and allowing two hits from the circle as Avoca-Prattsburgh moved on to the quarterfinals round. Meyah Putnam had two hits and drove in two, while Ellie Harrell, Celine Switzer, and Isabelle Switzer also had two-RBI games. Brooke VanSkiver hit safely twice and drove in a run. Alivia Herzog and Aleena Smith had Hammondsport’s hits. Avoca-Prattsburgh faces Arkport-Canaseraga on Saturday in a quarterfinal contest.

Mia Treleavan threw a five-inning no-hitter for Notre Dame Batavia, striking out nine while walking two. Riley Hare drove in four runs on two hits including a triple. Treleavan, Olivia Gillard, Gianna Galleti, and Clarissa Millman all had multiple hits for the Irish. Sofia Falleti singled and drove in two runs. Notre Dame Batavia faces Lyndonville on Saturday in a quarterfinal game.
