Spencerport ended a three-game losing streak in a game that was called in the sixth. A five-run second inning featuring a bases-clearing double by Rowan Boyzuck got the Rangers going. After Irondequoit tied it with its own big second inning, Spencerport added a run in the third and fifth to close out the victory. Grant Distaffen had the only other RBI for Spencerport with a RBI single. Collin Bates started and threw all five innings, allowing three earned runs and striking out three. Irondequoit got RBIs from Landon Bryan, Jackson Mroczek, Max Spitz and John Springer. Bryan started for the Eagles and threw five innings, allowing four earned runs and a strikeout.

Jack Guiffre threw a complete game for Victor allowing just one earned run with six strikeouts. He was supported by a five-run first inning after Webster Thomas struck first. Matthew Eygabroad got the big hit with a 2-RBI double. John Swartz added two hits and two RBI to the offensive effort. Dylan Chudner, William Elkovitch and Alex Long also each had a RBI for Victor. Owen Zimmer had the lone RBI for Webster Thomas with a first inning double. Victor head coach Sean Rucker reached 500-win plateau with Saturday’s decision. Rucker, in his 29th season at the helm, joins the late Ed Nietopski (705 – Cardinal Mooney/Bishop Kearney) and Dennie Miles (809 – Wellsville/Avoca-Prattsburgh/Genesee Valley-Belfast) as the only Section V Baseball coaches with 500 wins or more. Miles is also active.

A walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the eighth by Grady Hopkin gave Brighton a win to snap a two-game losing streak. Hopkin also got the win on the mound, throwing the final six innings in relief and allowing just three earned runs with four strikeouts. Bloomfield scored all ten of its runs in the first four innings, led by two RBI each from Grady Rogers and Kevin Dredger. Kyle Dredger, Levi Gumaer and Braedon Smith also had RBI with the other three runs being unearned. A five-run rally in the bottom of the fifth allowed Brighton to tie it up before the game winner. Patrick Newcomer led the team with four RBI. Sal Burge had two while Jack Edelstein, Zachary Oravec and Max Sheehan each added an RBI to the eleven run effort.

CHRISTIAN BROTHERS ACADEMY (III) 7
A five -run second inning was enough for Christian Brothers Academy to hand Faiport their fourth loss. Alexander Grejada knocked in two of the Red Raiders’ four runs. Owen Andreatta and John Gossin had the other two RBI for Fairport as Patrick Lindquist also contributed with two hits. Garrett McNeil and Nicholas Rene also each had a hit. Tom Menar went five innings on the mound for Christian Brothers Academy earning the win. He allowed three runs with nine strikeouts.

Noah Dapolito threw a complete game for Palmyra-Macedon, allowing no earned runs with twelve strikeouts. After falling behind 1-0 in the first, Pal-Mac scored three in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good, adding on insurance runs in the third, fifth and sixth. Ryan Caffyn led the offense with two hits and three RBI, Andrew West added two of his own and Constantino LoPresto had an RBI.
DANSVILLE (3-2) 12
WARSAW (1-5) 2
Dansville produced 14 hits and had a 12-run lead after the second inning. Brady Henchen had three hits, three RBI and got the win on the mound striking out seven and allowing no earned runs. Jake Kreily also had three hits and three RBI for the Mustangs. Cam Delaney, Nolan Dezarn and Dawsyn Mistretta had two hits each. Brody Sick also added a hit.

Naples won for the second time in the past three with a balanced offensive effort, scoring runs in four different innings. Hunter Jacoby also threw a complete game, allowing just two earned runs and eight strikeouts. Chase Bauman, Oliver Bruen and Grady Grove all produced RBI for Naples, with their other four runs being unearned. Rowan Biggs also reached base three times and scored twice from the leadoff spot.

GENESEE VALLEY-BELFAST (7-1) 8
Mason Thomas who entered the game to start the third with the score tied 3-3, and the sophomore hurled five shutout innings of 2-hit ball to pick up his first varsity win. Thomas struck out 11 and walked one and helped his own cause with a two-run double in the fourth to put GV-BC up 5-3. Ian Mackenzie finished 2-for-4 effort in the win. Ethan Davenport, Ryan Daciw, Nolan Hunter and Trent Hutchison had one hit apiece. For Franklinville, Breton Blecha and Brady Tatlow both had two hits on the night.
