Evan Bishop followed with a two-run base knock to knot the game. After a James Dietz walk put the go-ahead run in scoring position, Calixto delivered the go-ahead run with a single to right. Cooper Ingersol doubled and singled, scored once and walked once. Bradyn Orbaker singled twice. Cincinello also tacked on a single. Evan Laird had an RBI single and walked once. Salerno was walked twice and scored twice. Garrett Barron and Gauge Johnson both were walked once. Laird relieved Cincinello for the seventh inning and struck out one. Ethan Davenport struck out 14 and walked four over five innings of two-hit ball to lead Genesee Valley-Belfast in a game that was played Macombs Dam Park – the site of the old Yankee Stadium. Davenport improved to 3-0 on the season. The junior went 2-for-4 at the plate. Nolan Hunter was 2-3 with two RBI. Jacob Tice finished 2-3. Ryan Daciw struck out three in two innings of relief. With the victory, GV-B’s Dennie Miles became the winningest coach in NYSPHSAA history surpassing Craig Phillips (Fort Plain) with career victory No. 807.
