Wednesday Flag Football Wrap: O’Neill tosses four touchdowns for Eastridge; Maxon leads Geneva over Newark

EASTRIDGE (2-1) 34
Sadie O’Neill threw for 167 yards and four touchdowns as part of a 12-for-18 passing night for Eastridge, while also rushing for 24 yards and making an interception and two flag pulls on defense. Madyson Fizer caught four touchdowns, part of a 121-yard night that saw her finish with eight receptions. Alyssa Cowart rushed for 60 yards and scored a rushing touchdown while pulling seven flags including two for a loss. Alex Guzman had five flag pulls. Kaitlyn Muniz made two catches for 28 yards and pulled three flags. NiYhannah Marshall had a rushing touchdown for Young Women College Prep, while Natalie Martinez scored a conversion.

CHURCHVILLE-CHILI (1-2-1) 26
Ninth-grader Cadence Bachmann scored two touchdowns, and senior Lexi Finnigan added a score on the ground to lead Churchville-Chili. Bachmann returned one of her two interceptions for a score. Julia Gaffney also contributed to the scoring with a pick-6 of her own. Gaffney had two interception as well and led the Saints’ defense with seven flag pulls. Ninth grader Bianca Fumarola finished with five pulls – three for a loss. Gianna Denning had three pulls, one for a loss. Mariah Elliott contributed an extra point and five flag pulls, one for a loss.

Geneva’s Trinity Maxon scored three touchdowns on the ground and threw two by air of 62 and 76 yards. The senior also had a rushing conversion. Zyla Reid had a 76-yard touchdown reception and also contributed on defense with an interception. Marissa Ryan recorded the 62-yard receiving touchdown and also snagged two conversion catches. Athena Tumbelekis had an interception on defense. Dre Smith led Newark with two rushing touchdowns.

CANISTEO-GREENWOOD (3-0) 8
LIVONIA (2-1) 6
Canisteo-Greenwood held Livonia one yard short to stay perfect on the year. Livonia’s efforts were led by Olivia Feehan, who rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown while also catching six passes for 45 yards. The junior also had three flag pulls on defense. Eliza Parker was 8-for-12 passing for 70 yards and also rushed for 70 yards. Caitlyn Haugh reached 50 yards on the ground and also contributed 15 yards receiving and led the Livonia defense with four flag pulls and an interception. Stella Molino also had four flag pulls. Brooke Shaffer and Bailey Truhart each pulled three flags.
