Avery Hoffmann led Gananda with 27 yards on the ground, 11 completions, no interceptions thrown and two total touchdowns. Izzie Hoffmann accumulated 34 yards rushing and 40 receiving. Lizzie Gorski caught a touchdown with three yards. Aly Cruz led the defense with four flag pulls and two interceptions. Lexi King had a team-high five flag pulls. Lexi Gallina and Jordyn Brice added four flag pulls apiece.

Vivianne Boor took 17 carries for 178 yards and two touchdowns on top of a punt return score and an interception on defense to lead Avon’s shutout. Nora Honan ran 16 times for 39 yards, with 30 yards through the air. Liv Short caught three passes and recorded five tackles and two sacks defensively. Bridget Rehberg had three catches and 35 scrimmage yards. Lauren Masten ended with three tackles and a sack. Liv Wonsey registered four tackles. Avon totaled 39 carries for 229 yards.
“This was the first official win in Avon River Hawks girls’ flag football history,” Avon head coach Justin Dueppengiesser said. “It took a tremendous effort and great preparation the past two weeks of practice. I couldn’t be more proud of this group and look forward to building on this solid start.”

Lauren Markel spearheaded Canisteo-Greenwood’s shutout with a rushing, passing and defensive touchdown. Raegan Freeland ran for two scores. Kora Button and Kadyn Piliero added a rushing touchdown apiece. Addy Andrus caught a touchdown. McKenna Ferris, Paris May and Anna Mitchell reeled in interceptions defensively.
